In response to the 2020 Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics, the Future Circular Collider (FCC) Feasibility Study was launched as an international collaboration hosted by CERN. The FCC ‘integrated programme’, described in this report, in a first stage consists of a highest-luminosity electron-positron collider, FCC-ee, serving as Higgs, top and electroweak factory, with a subsequent energy-frontier proton-proton collider, FCC-hh, as the second stage. The FCC-ee is designed to operate at four baseline centre-of-mass energies, corresponding to the Z pole, the WW pair production threshold, the ZH production peak, and the top/anti-top production threshold, always delivering the highest possible luminosities to four experiments. Future Circular Collider Feasibility Study Report : Volume 3, Civil Engineering, Implementation and Sustainability
/ FCC Collaboration
Volume 3 of the FCC Feasibility Report presents studies related to civil engineering, the development of a project implementation scenario, and environmental and sustainability aspects. The report details the iterative improvements made to the civil engineering concepts since 2018, taking into account subsurface conditions, accelerator and experiment requirements, and territorial considerations. Future Circular Collider Feasibility Study Report Volume 1 : Physics and Experiments
/ Benedikt, M. (CERN) ; Zimmermann, F. (CERN) ; Auchmann, B. (CERN ; PSI, Villigen) ; Bartmann, W. (CERN) ; Burnet, J.P. (CERN) ; Carli, C. (CERN) ; Chancé, A. (IRFU, Saclay) ; Craievich, P. (PSI, Villigen) ; Giovannozzi, M. (CERN) ; Grojean, C. (DESY ; Humboldt U., Berlin) et al.
Volume 1 of the FCC Feasibility Report presents an overview of the physics case, experimental programme, and detector concepts for the Future Circular Collider (FCC). This volume outlines how the FCC would address some of the most profound open questions in particle physics, from precision studies of the Higgs and EW bosons and of the top quark, to the exploration of physics beyond the Standard Model. Radiation-Tolerant Multi-Application Wireless IoT Platform for Harsh Environments
/ Danzeca, Salvatore (CERN) ; Luna Duran, Jose Carlos (CERN) ; Masi, Alessandro (CERN) ; Sierra, Rodrigo (CERN) ; Zimmaro, Alessandro (CERN ; Montpellier U.)
We introduce a radiation-tolerant multi-application wireless IoT platform, specifically designed for deployment in harsh environments such as particle accelerators. The platform integrates radiation-tolerant hardware with the possibility of covering different applications and use cases, including temperature and humidity monitoring, as well as simple equipment control functions. Wireless IoT in Particle Accelerators: A Proof of Concept with the IoT Radiation Monitor at CERN
/ Danzeca, Salvatore (CERN) ; Cass, Antony (CERN) ; Masi, Alessandro (CERN) ; Sierra, Rodrigo (CERN) ; Zimmaro, Alessandro (CERN)
The Internet of Things (IoT) is an ecosystem of web-enabled "smart devices" that integrates sensors and communication hardware to collect, send and act on data acquired from the surrounding environment. Use of the IoT in particle accelerators is not new, with accelerator systems long having been connected to the network to retrieve, send and analyse data. [...]

Proximeter CERN’s detecting device for personnel
/ Merscher, Christoph (CERN) ; Sierra, Rodrigo (CERN) ; Zimmaro, Alessandro (CERN) ; Giordano, Marco (CERN) ; Danzeca, Salvatore (CERN)
he SARS COV 2 virus, the cause of the better known COVID-19 disease, has greatly altered our personal and professional lives. Many people are now expected to work from home but this is not always possible and, in such cases, it is the responsibility of the employer to implement protective measures. [...]
