QCD at High Temperatures and Finite Densities: Heavy-ion Collisions / Fabiano, Federica (U. Cagliari (main) ; INFN, Cagliari) /LHCb Collaboration
The LHCb Collaboration pursues a full physics program studying dense QCD with both beam–beam and fixed-target collisions. In this contribution, we present the recent LHCb results including quarkonia production in peripheral and ultra-peripheral heavy-ion (HI) collisions, antiproton, and charm production in fixed-target collisions..

Nuclear reaction studies on unstable isotopes can strongly help in improving our understanding of nucleosynthesis in stars. Indirect approaches to determining astrophysical reaction rates are increasingly common-place and undergoing continuous refinement. [...]

Physical Explanation for the Higher Sensitivity to Ion-Induced Burnout in SiC Schottky Diodes Compared to Si Schottky Diodes / Marques, C M (Montpellier U.) ; Michez, A (Montpellier U.) ; Wrobel, F (Montpellier U.) ; Kuboyama, S (Unlisted, CH) ; Saigné, F (Montpellier U.) ; Dilillo, L (Montpellier U.) ; Aguiar, Y Q (CERN) ; Alía, R G (CERN)
SiC has a higher critical electric field compared to Si, which is promising for power applications. However, the susceptibility of SiC Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs) to heavy ions is recognized as a critical issue due to single event burnout (SEB) and single event leakage current (SELC). [...]

Latest Results from Kaon Experiments at CERN / Lurkin, Nicolas (Cathol. U. Louvain (main)) /NA62 Collaboration ; NA48/2 Collaboration
The NA48/2 and NA62 experiments at CERN were designed to measure kaon decays from a high-intensity fixed-target setup that took data between 2003–04 and 2016–18, respectively. The first observation of the \(K^\pm \to \pi ^0\pi ^0\mu ^\pm \nu \) decay based on the 2003–04 data sample is reported. [...]

Prediction of thick-target yields for medical radionuclide production based on automated machine learning / Tang, YanBang (CERN ; UCAS, Beijing)
Accurate knowledge of thick-target yields (TTY) is critical for the efficient and reliable production of medical radionuclides. In this study, we developed and evaluated a suite of machine learning models to perform prediction of the TTY for four medically relevant (p,n) reactions: 167Er(p,n)167Tm, 58Fe(p,n)58mCo, 119Sn(p,n)119Sb, and 186W(p,n)186gRe. A Radiation-Tolerant All-Digital Phase-Locked Loop With Fast Recovery From Single-Event Effects / Ma, Qichao (Leuven U.) ; Biereigel, Stefan (CERN) ; Leroux, Paul (Leuven U.) ; Prinzie, Jeffrey (Leuven U.)
This article presents a radiation-tolerant all-digital phase-locked loop (ADPLL) with fast recovery from single-event effects (SEEs) occurring in the inductor of the LC oscillator. The proposed ADPLL can detect the phase error due to SEEs and track the frequency error by switching the bandwidth of the loop. [...]
