Measurement of jet track functions in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Measurements of jet substructure are key to probing the energy frontier at colliders, and many of them use track-based observables which take advantage of the angular precision of tracking detectors. Theoretical calculations of track-based observables require `track functions', which characterize the transverse momentum fraction $r_q$ carried by charged hadrons from a fragmenting quark or gluon. Configuration, Performance, and Commissioning of the ATLAS $b$-jet Triggers for the 2022 and 2023 LHC data-taking periods / ATLAS Collaboration
In 2022 and 2023, the Large Hadron Collider produced approximately two billion hadronic interactions each second from bunches of protons that collide at a rate of 40 MHz. The ATLAS trigger system is used to reduce this rate to a few kHz for recording. [...]

Search for charged Higgs bosons produced in top-quark decays or in association with top quarks and decaying via $H^{\pm} \to \tau^{\pm}\nu_{\tau}$ in 13 TeV $pp$ collisions with the ATLAS detector / Aad, Georges (Marseille, CPPM) ; Aakvaag, Erlend (Bergen U.) ; Abbott, Braden Keim (Oklahoma U.) ; Abdelhameed, Sara (New York U., Abu Dhabi) ; Abeling, Kira (Gottingen U., II. Phys. Inst.) ; Abicht, Nils Julius (Dortmund U.) ; Abidi, Haider (Brookhaven) ; Aboelela, Mohammed (Southern Methodist U.) ; Aboulhorma, Asmaa (Mohammed V U., Agdal) ; Abramowicz, Halina (Tel Aviv U.) et al.
Charged Higgs bosons produced either in top-quark decays or in association with a top-quark, subsequently decaying via $H^{\pm} \to \tau^{\pm}\nu_{\tau}$, are searched for in 140 $\text{fb}^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector. Depending on whether the top-quark produced together with the $H^{\pm}$ decays hadronically or semi-leptonically, the search targets $\tau$+jets or $\tau$+lepton final states, in both cases with a $\tau$-lepton decaying into a neutrino and hadrons. Energy scale and resolution for anti-$k_t$ jets with radius parameters $R=0.2$ and 0.6 measured in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Jets with different radius parameters $R$ are an important tool to probe quantum chromodynamics processes at different angular scales. Jets with small $R=0.2$ are instrumental in measurements of the substructure of large-$R$ jets resulting from collimated hadronic decays of energetic $W$, $Z$, and Higgs bosons, top quarks, and of potential new resonances. Azimuthal anisotropies of charged particles with high transverse momentum in <math><mrow><mi>Pb</mi><mo>+</mo><mi>Pb</mi></mrow></math> collisions at <math><mrow><msqrt><msub><mi>s</mi><mi>NN</mi></msub></msqrt><mo>=</mo><mn>5.02</mn></mrow></math> TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A measurement is presented of elliptic ($v_2$) and triangular ($v_3$) azimuthal anisotropy coefficients for charged particles produced in Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_\text{NN}}} = 5.02$ TeV using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $435$ $\mu b^{-1}$ collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC in 2018. The values of $v_2$ and $v_3$ are measured for charged particles over a wide range of transverse momentum, $p_\text{T}=$1-400 GeV and in intervals of Pb+Pb collision centrality, 0-60%, using the scalar product and multi-particle cumulant methods. Differential cross-section measurements of $D^{\pm}$ and $D_{s}^{\pm}$ meson production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The production of $D^{\pm}$ and $D_{s}^{\pm}$ charmed mesons is measured using the $D^{\pm}/D_{s}^{\pm} \to \phi(\mu\mu)\pi^{\pm}$ decay channel with 137 fb$^{-1}$ of $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV proton-proton collision data collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider during the years 2016-2018. The charmed mesons are reconstructed in the range of transverse momentum $12 < p_\mathrm{T} < 100$ GeV and pseudorapidity $|\eta| < 2.5$. [...]

Observation of $VVZ$ production at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A search for the production of three massive vector bosons, $VVZ (V=W, Z)$, in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV is performed using data with an integrated luminosity of $140$ fb$^{-1}$ recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Events produced in the leptonic final states $WWZ \to \ell\nu \ell\nu \ell \ell$ ($\ell=e, \mu$), $WZZ \to \ell\nu \ell\ell \ell\ell$, $ZZZ \to \ell\ell \ell\ell \ell\ell$, and the semileptonic final states $WWZ \to qq \ell\nu \ell \ell$ and $WZZ \to \ell\nu qq \ell \ell$, are analysed. Expected tracking performance of the ATLAS Inner Tracker at the High-Luminosity LHC / ATLAS Collaboration
The high-luminosity phase of LHC operations (HL-LHC), will feature a large increase in simultaneous proton-proton interactions per bunch crossing up to 200, compared with a typical leveling target of 64 in Run 3. Such an increase will create a very challenging environment in which to perform charged particle trajectory reconstruction, a task crucial for the success of the ATLAS physics program, and will exceed the capabilities of the current ATLAS Inner Detector (ID). Improved reconstruction of highly boosted $\tau $-lepton pairs in the $\tau \tau \rightarrow (\mu \nu _{\mu }\nu _{\tau })(\text {hadrons}+\nu _{\tau })$ decay channels with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
This paper presents a new $\tau$-lepton reconstruction and identification procedure at the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider, which leads to significantly improved performance in the case of physics processes where a highly boosted pair of $\tau$-leptons is produced and one $\tau$-lepton decays into a muon and two neutrinos ($\tau_{\mu}$), and the other decays into hadrons and one neutrino ($\tau_{had}$). By removing the muon information from the signals used for reconstruction and identification of the $\tau_{had}$ candidate in the boosted pair, the efficiency is raised to the level expected for an isolated $\tau_{had}$. Search for Higgs boson decays into a pair of pseudoscalar particles in the $\gamma\gamma\tau_{\text{had}}\tau_{\text{had}}$ final state using $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A search for exotic decays of the 125 GeV Higgs boson into a pair of new spin-0 particles, $H \to aa$, where one decays into a photon pair and the other into a $\tau$-lepton pair, is presented. Both $\tau$-leptons are reconstructed in the hadronic decay modes using a dedicated tagger for collimated $\tau$-lepton pairs. [...]
