Effective Field Theory in Long-Baseline Neutrino Oscillation Experiments / Kopp, Joachim (CERN ; Mainz U., Inst. Phys. ; U. Mainz, PRISMA) ; Tabrizi, Zahra (CERN ; Pittsburgh U.) ; Urrea, Salvador (IJCLab, Orsay)
We study the phenomenology of physics beyond the Standard Model in long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiments using the most general parametrisation of heavy new physics in the framework of Standard Model Effective Theory (SMEFT), as well as its counterpart below the electroweak scale, Weak Effective Field Theory (WEFT). Measurement of four-point energy-energy correlator projections in Z+jets events / The CMS Collaboration /CMS Collaboration
Energy-energy correlators are rapidly emerging as a powerful tool for the study of jet substructure. The resolved structure of high-order EECs is sensitive to the detailed dynamics of jet formation, and has the potential to provide both a useful probe of quantum chromodynamics and a powerful input for tuning of phenomenological parton shower models. Enhanced reconstruction of dileptonic top quark-antiquark events using supervised machine learning methods / CMS Collaboration /CMS Collaboration
The reconstruction of the top quark-antiquark $\mathrm{t\bar{t}}$ kinematic system is crucial for precision measurements of top quark properties and plays a central role in many searches for beyond standard model physics involving top quarks at the LHC. In the dileptonic decay channel of $\mathrm{t\bar{t}}$, the presence of two neutrinos poses a significant challenge to reconstruct the $\mathrm{t\bar{t}}$ kinematic system. [...]

Early Look at GEM-CSC Bending Angle Integration into the Level 1 Trigger /CMS Collaboration
The High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) planned to start in 2030 will supply a dramatic increase in pile up to the collision detectors. The CMS detector has many upgrades to handle this increase in pile up, including the Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) subdetector system for the Muon System. [...]

Exclusive dimuon production in ultraperipheral lead-lead collisions at 5.02 TeV /CMS Collaboration
Exclusive dimuon production in lead-lead collisions is investigated for the first time as a novel approach for luminosity determination at the LHC. This method exploits the well-established theoretical framework of quantum electrodynamics (QED) to provide an alternative measurement of luminosity based on the predicted production cross section. PCC module selection and internal stability for 2024 luminosity measurement /CMS Collaboration
Starting from all BPIX/FPIX modules, we remove known problematic regions, veto noisy modules from vdM super-separation periods, perform block-by-block stability screening, and impose a year-wide linearity requirement. The resulting subset provides robust PCC luminosity with improved temporal stability, suitable for use with a single $\sigma_{\mathrm{vis}}$ once $R$ is corrected..
