/ Collamati, Francesco (INFN, Rome) ; Aimè, Chiara (INFN, Pavia ; Pavia U.) ; Andreetto, Paolo (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Bartosik, Nazar (INFN, Turin) ; Buonincontri, Laura (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Casarsa, Massimo (INFN, Trieste) ; Curatolo, Camilla (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Gianelle, Alessio (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Lucchesi, Donatella (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Mereghetti, Alessio (CERN ; CNAO, Milan) et al.
A Muon Collider represents a very interesting possibility for a future machine to explore the energy frontier in particle physics. However, to reach the needed luminosity, beam intensities of the order of $10^{9-11}$ muons per bunch are needed. In this context, the Beam Induced Background must be taken into account for its effects on the magnets and on the detector. [...]

Detector Performances Studies at Muon Collider

The Muon Collider is a possible option for the next generation of high energy collider machines. It would permit to achieve the energy frontier in lepton collisions, without occurring in significant synchrotron radiation losses as in electrons rings.Among the technological challenges in the realization of such a machine, the treatment of the beam-induced background is one of the most critical issues for the detectors.Beams with intensity of the order of $10^{12}$ muons per bunch are necessary to obtain the desired luminosity, therefore the muons decay rate is very high. Study of Physics Performances at Muon Collider

Muon Collider is a promising option for the next generation high-energy collider, possessing very low radiation losses due to synchrotron radiation.Treatment of the beam-induced background is one of the most critical issues in such a machine.Since the muon beams must be very intense to reach high luminosity, the muons decay products and subsequent particles from secondary interactions with the environment can reach the interaction point, limiting the physical performance of the detector. This talk presents a reconstruction strategy for a benchmark process, H->bb-bar, in the presence of the beam-induced background..

A muon collider represents the ideal machine to reach very high center-of-mass energies and luminosities by colliding elementary particles. This is the result of the low level of beamstrahlung and synchrotron radiation compared to linear or circular electron-positron colliders. [...]

Observation of the $B_s^0 \rightarrow J/\psi \phi \phi$ decay
/ LHCb collaboration
The $B_s^0 \rightarrow J/\psi \phi \phi$ decay is observed in $pp$ collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb$^{-1}$ recorded by the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7 TeV and 8 TeV. This is the first observation of this decay channel, with a statistical significance of 15 standard deviations. [...]

Model-independent confirmation of the $Z(4430)^-$ state
/ LHCb collaboration
The decay $B^0\to \psi(2S) K^+\pi^-$ is analyzed using $\rm 3~fb^{-1}$ of $pp$ collision data collected with the LHCb detector. A model-independent description of the $\psi(2S) \pi$ mass spectrum is obtained, using as input the $K\pi$ mass spectrum and angular distribution derived directly from data, without requiring a theoretical description of resonance shapes or their interference.
