Measurement of the $\Upsilon$(1S) pair production cross section and search for resonances decaying to $\Upsilon$(1S)$\mu^+\mu^-$ in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The fiducial cross section for $\Upsilon(\text{1S}) $ pair production in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV in the region where both $\Upsilon(\text{1S}) $ mesons have an absolute rapidity below 2.0 is measured to be 79 $\pm$ 11 (stat) $\pm$ 6 (syst) $\pm$ 3 ($\mathcal{B}$) pb assuming the mesons are produced unpolarized. The last uncertainty corresponds to the uncertainty in the $\Upsilon(\text{1S}) $ meson dimuon branching fraction. [...]

A data sample of events from proton-proton collisions with at least two jets, and two isolated same-sign or three or more charged leptons, is studied in a search for signatures of new physics phenomena. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 137 fb$^{-1}$ at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, collected in 2016-2018 by the CMS experiment at the LHC. [...]

Study of excited $\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}}^{0}$ states decaying to $\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}}^{0}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A study of excited $\Lambda_\mathrm{b}^0$ baryons is reported, based on a data sample collected in 2016-2018 with the CMS detector at the LHC in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of up to 140 fb$^{-1}$. The existence of four excited $\Lambda_\mathrm{b}^0$ states: $\Lambda_\mathrm{b}$(5912)$^0$, $\Lambda_\mathrm{b}$(5920)$^0$, $\Lambda_\mathrm{b}$(6146)$^0$, and $\Lambda_\mathrm{b}$(6152)$^0$ in the $\Lambda_\mathrm{b}^0\pi^+\pi^-$ mass spectrum is confirmed, and their masses are measured. A deep neural network to search for new long-lived particles decaying to jets / CMS Collaboration
A tagging algorithm to identify jets that are significantly displaced from the proton-proton (pp) collision region in the CMS detector at the LHC is presented. Displaced jets can arise from the decays of long-lived particles (LLPs), which are predicted by several theoretical extensions of the standard model. [...]

Measurement of the top quark forward-backward production asymmetry and the anomalous chromoelectric and chromomagnetic moments in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The parton-level top quark (t) forward-backward asymmetry and the anomalous chromoelectric (${\hat{d}_{\mathrm{t}}}$) and chromomagnetic (${\hat{\mu}_{\mathrm{t}}}$) moments have been measured using LHC pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, collected in the CMS detector in a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$. The linearized variable ${A^{(1)}_\mathrm{FB}}$ is used to approximate the asymmetry. [...]

Constraints on the ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}1}}$ versus ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}2}}$ polarizations in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The polarizations of promptly produced ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}1}}$ and ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}2}}$ mesons are studied using data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC, in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV. The ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}}}$ states are reconstructed via their radiative decays ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}}} \rightarrow \mathrm{J}/\psi\, \gamma$, with the photons being measured through conversions to $\mathrm{e^{+}}\mathrm{e^{-}}$, which allows the two states to be well resolved. Determination of the strong coupling constant $\alpha_{S}(m_\mathrm{Z})$ from measurements of inclusive W$^\pm$ and Z boson production cross sections in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{\mathrm{s}} $ = 7 and 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Twelve measurements of inclusive cross sections of $\mathrm{W^{\pm}} $ and $\mathrm{Z}$ boson production, performed in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, are compared with perturbative quantum chromodynamics calculations at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) accuracy obtained with the CT14, HERAPDF2.0, MMHT14, and NNPDF3.0 parton distribution functions (PDFs). Data and theory agree well for all PDF sets, taking into account the experimental and theoretical uncertainties. [...]

Search for supersymmetry in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV with 137 fb$^{-1}$ in final states with a single lepton using the sum of masses of large-radius jets / CMS Collaboration
Results are reported from a search for new physics beyond the standard model in proton-proton collisions in final states with a single lepton; multiple jets, including at least one jet tagged as originating from the hadronization of a bottom quark; and large missing transverse momentum. The search uses a sample of proton-proton collision data at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV, corresponding to 137 fb$^{-1}$, recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC. [...]
