Obsidian One Ahh yes, 'Black Destiny' from the Firestarter compilation — the album that introduced me to Sacramentum and black metal in general, which had such a different sound from death metal that it took me a while to fully appreciate it. 'Awaken Chaos' is such a classic tune, and one of the finest examples of melodic black metal. My brother also dug it (we spent many an hour listening to that album). This is a prime example of '90s black metal. Favorite track: Awaken Chaos.

about

The second full-length release from Sacramentum, 1997's "The Coming Of Chaos" followed just a year after the release of "Far Away From The Sun". Under the guise of King DIamond guitarist Andy La Rocque, who produced and engineered the album, the trio deliver a more tightly controlled assault of melodic black/death metal.
