Au Jess
Jess- the princess. In every way, royalty. She holds herself above everyone, no matter what. She is the Princess of the South Moors, but is currently a refugee in South Ellorin due to the fact that the Ellanorr Bridge Wars have torn her country to pieces, and the royal family wants one of their heirs to survive. Jessica was the fiercest member of the royal family, being younger and less accomplished than her brothers and not nearly as regal or powerful as he parents. Known for her sweet tooth, sharp tongue, and hot temper, she never thought she would be Queen. But that all changed when Cameron was assassinated and her handmaids kidnapped her in the night- a last minute plan that was to be put into motion should the royal family be threatened. By the time she figured out what was going on, they had crossed the bridge and were nearly through Gleasing. Jess was to be sent to live and study in Arisu, a college town in South Ellorin. She looks down on the place, but at the same time, she fails to fit in when she can’t speak of her past and has no way of relating to anyone else there. She’s saved by Zoë, a kindly young alchemist who is also studying in Arisu. The two strike up a quick friendship, with Zoë being largely immune to Jess’s cruel wit. Zoë offers to take Jessica to the festival going on near Tresta, South Ellorin’s capital. Jess agrees, and they set off with excitement to the party. However, their revels are cut short when Jess accidentally injures a siren, and Zoë feels bad enough to convince them to stay with her in the hospital and they realize that she’s alone. After the siren, Ella, heals, the three become a well known trio in Arisu. Jess speaks up for Zoë’s intelligence, and Ella becomes their magical backup in any situation (sirens are born with magic). However, Jess uncovers a dangerous plot including dark spirits and old gods during her studies. Out of fear, she leaves behind her friends and heads to North Ellinor. She doesn’t remember, not for sure, but her father dealt briefly with a young noble from that area when she was younger. And he was magical, an angel- perhaps the most powerful person in all of Adrüstin. After enlisting the help of a cursed archer named Cora, they plead with Truman for help as he pouts and complains, still devastated after Andrew’s attack and almost delusional as he hallucinates speaks to nonexistent friends who have died and another girl who Jessica does not know of but Cora seems to. However, without Truman’s certain assistance, Cora and Jess decide to return to Arisu and get the help of Zoë, Ella, and eventually the High Priestess Lily. But, for now, Jessica is the fire of the South Moors, and she intends set the whole world aflame to destroy the darkness.

*Rococo Revisited
nymphenburg revisited - amalienburg wall surface As Rococo as a wall gets: mirrors and stucco glop completely obscuring tectonic articulation (where does the wall end and the ceiling begin?), not to mention the considerable thickness of the bearing wall, which now seems to be made out of nothing but frilly decoration.
