49K views · 1K reactions | I inherited this beautiful claw foot dining room table from my Grandparents. This table was the centerpiece of their lives. So many family dinners and conversations were had at this table. I think they'd love that this table gets to live on in our home and we can make new memories! After stripping all the old stain off, I discovered this beautiful oak underneath it. I sanded it all down and decided to do a paintwash to tone down the yellow. It did the trick! I then added in some stain to warm it back up and topped it off with Polyacrylic to seal it all in! Now this table is ready for game nights and dinners in our home! So next time you see one of these solid wood tables on marketplace make sure to snag it! Easy off oven cleaner works !!!

6hr · 1 serving 3 cans oven cleaner for this table • Soap water • Minwax white wash stain Spray heavy on wood let set for 30/45 minutes • With a soft brush wash off with water and a bit of soapy water ( I used dawn) • Sit in sun to completely dry !! • finish with the minwax white wash stain • Allow to dry for several hours • Apply clear protection coat !
