Gel Printing With Cornflower

Use cornflour to create weathered textures on the gel plate. Gelli Arts® artist Birgit Koopsen starts with an already printed sheet. Roll out acrylic paint colours. Sprinkle the cornflour on top. The powder will work as a mask. Place the print on top and rub firmly. Lift the print and let it dry before you carefully remove the loose cornflower. Printing With Repurposed Materials: Paper Tube + Carrot Net

How to use paper tubes to create ongoing patterns and textures. Gelli Arts® artist Birgit Koopsen glues carrot net to a paper tube instead of trying to flatten a larger piece on the plate. Let the first layer of acrylic paint dry before adding the pick-up layer.
