Nicole Johnsey Burke on Instagram: "Raise your hand if these numbers confused you too.✋🏽 Now you know, the first number is mostly about leaves. The second number is mostly about fruit and the third number is mostly about roots. But here’s the thing: you can actually build those nutrients into your soil when you make it in the first place. Then, there’s a lot less need for fertilizer (and more money to be spent on plants😉) I actually don’t use fertilizer-I just add a little compost each season and keep growing. If you’d like to learn how to build soil that works like that without fertilizer comment SOIL to find out about the Gardenary Soil School I’ll send a link to your DM’s all about it!"

Genevieve | Fitty Foodlicious on Instagram: "👩🏻‍🌾Lavender can be super tough to grow, especially if you have very wet soil. But with my tips, you’ll be a lavender growing pro in no time! 🙋🏻‍♀️ 💜All you need is some good quality soil, I highly suggest a cactus and succulent soil since it has pearlite in it and it’s very well draining. I would also suggest adding some rocks around your lavender to keep everything really well draining and you need the lavender plants obviously in a good sunny spot. Lavender loves the sun! But I also find it as well and part shade. 💜I find English lavender does really well in our climate of zone 9B, some of the other dwarf lavenders don’t do so well they tend to rot out, but it really depends on where you live and I suggest going to your local nurser
