Ruth's music is so sparse and so lush at the same time. Her lyrics are among the most intelligent and caring I have ever heard. And the tone and timbre of her voice is so moving and lovely, and delicious to listen to that it would not matter if she was signing about spaghetti dinner. But listen to her lyrics, and you might cry from their goodness and human wisdom, their wit, and their confident poetry.
