This album was recorded during Heritage Week, August 2013, in the Hunting Room at Castletown House, Celbridge, Co. Kildare. It was finally printed and released 5 years later in Australia following our emigration.
The recording was made over 2 days with a free concert on the first evening. We knew at the time that we would be leaving Ireland, but nobody else knew. Glad we recorded this chapter in our lives and frankly it wouldn't have happened at all without the encouragement, recording skills and mixing skills of the infamous Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh. We've never been able to make it up to him.
Our massive thanks to Petter Berndalen (
www.berndalen.se) who mastered the album twice. Its a long story involving a stolen hard drive and further magic from Caoimhín.
