English: Richard Henry Sellers, en:Order of British Empire (CBE), commonly known as Peter Sellers (8 September 1925 – 24 July 1980) was a British comedian and actor best known for his roles in en:Dr. Strangelove, as Chief Inspector Clouseau in en:The Pink Panther film series, as en:Clare Quilty in the original 1962 screen version of en:Lolita (1962 film), in comedy films such as en:The Millionairess and en:The Party (film), and as the guileless man-child Chance in his penultimate film, en:Being There.
