Commons:How to create a license reviewing template
When uploading files from external sites which allow changing the license, the images should be reviewed by an administrator or trusted user. That allows us to independently verify that the images had a free license at upload time, even if the license is later changed at the source. For sporadic uploads, the generic LicenseReview template should be used.
However, when there are a hundred of files from that site, it's appropiate to create a template specific for reviewing images from that site. This page lists the steps for creating a review template for a fictional website www.foobar.com All instances of Foobar below should be changed to the idenwtifier of the actual site.
- Create FoobarReview. Just copy the content of LicenseReview and modify the site_name parameter of LicenseReview/Layout to be Foobar.
- Create Category:Commons Foobar resources with content

- Create Category:Foobar review needed with content

- Create Category:Possibly unfree Foobar images with content

- Create Category:Admin reviewed Foobar images with content

- Add Category:Foobar review needed and Category:Possibly unfree Foobar images to Template:LicenseReviewMenu on its own section
- Add an entry for that template on User:Rillke/LicenseReview.js if needed (you can request an edit on the talk page).
- Use EasyReview. Sample usage is in Flickrreview
The new template uses the same parameters as LicenseReview
