Summary
[edit]DescriptionNaram Sin in Apishal BM 139965.jpg |
English: Clay tablet; 'Naram-Sin in Apishal'; lower part of a literary tablet in cuneiform containing account of a much earlier military campaign of Naram-Sin of Akkad. Written during the Old Babylonian period, c. 1700-1500 BC. Probably a invented story, no mention of the city of Apishal being found in the records dated from the age of Akkad, but mentioned in omens of the Old Babylonian period.
