| DESIGN NAME: Golden Sunflower PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ring INSPIRATION: The "Golden Sunflower" Ring design was inspired by natural flowers that the artist saw in his dream after an extensive design development journey. The sunflower's symbolic meaning is associated with representation of resilience and growth. It serves as a motivation for humans to overcome challenges, grow strong even in adverse conditions by embracing change, adapt to new situations and evolve, and at the same time stay positive and thrive. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Golden Sunflower is a luxury statement ring featuring an Amethyst and is crafted in yellow and white gold with a unique flower-shaped design. The Amethyst adds a touch of elegance, and the diamond-decorated petals create a unique satin finish. Since ancient times Sunflowers has been symbolizing a warmth, prosperity, Joy and Happiness. Let's embrace the magic of the sunflowers and allow that symbolism to illuminate our lives and spirit. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Jewelry Design is an art of Visual Expression of the Artist inner world through Craftsmanship. Through this ring the artist also showcases aesthetics, technical and artistic clarity in high resolution and high level of execution. The Golden Sunflower ring is crafted with great technical proficiency, excellent attention to detail, creative approach to the theme and clarity of narrative. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Golden Sunflower ring design started in March of 2024 and finished in July of 2024, in Texas, USA. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The ring is made of 14k yellow and white Gold. The design is created the way where Amethyst, is held by side petals attached to the base separately, instead of prongs and they also have diamonds embedded in them in a unique way. In addition, the bigger petals are designed so that they elegantly separate the top part of the flower from the bottom. The leaves are designed with functionality to provide balance and comfortable fit not letting it turn to the sides, besides being part of the flower. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The head length of the flower is 18mm, head width is 16mm, the height of the ring is 26mm. The weight of this piece is about 5.36g, for the US 5 size. The ring itself is made from 14k yellow gold. The 12 inner petals holding the central Amethyst stone are from 14K white gold and welded separately, with each one having a natural 1.6mm diamond set, 12 diamonds totaling 0.19tcw. The central stone is concave cut 12mm x10mm natural African Amethyst 4.5tcw. It's also said to have the power of transforming the negative energy into a positive one. It's purple color represents the crown chakra, providing additional energetic and spiritual benefits when wearing or interconnecting with this mystical gemstone. CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge of the design was to develop elements that would be part of the flower while at the same time would hold the central stone of the flower instead of using traditional prongs, and being made from a different gold color, and each having a diamond set in it.
