| DESIGN NAME: Liv Dach Rlp PRIMARY FUNCTION: Logo Design INSPIRATION: The design needed to work across all platforms and be scalable. It should remain versatile and effective in both digital and print media, not just today but also in the years and decades to come. The simplicity of the logo makes it easy to remember. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is the logo design for the Guild Association of Roofing Crafts. The goal was to create a timeless and clean logo without using typical roof shapes, which are featured in over 90% of logos for roofing associations and companies. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The new corporate design ensures consistent communication across all channels and levels, creating a unified brand experience. It's intuitive and adaptable, making it easy to apply in various contexts, from digital to print. The updated visuals improve recognition and engagement by resonating with the target audience. Key elements like typography, color schemes, and imagery are optimized for clarity and impact, resulting in better performance, stronger brand identity, and seamless interaction for all users. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2023 in Hilden, Germany and finished in January 2024. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Using and combining simple shapes in Adobe Illustrator. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The logo works equally well as a small favicon and on large-scale billboards. TAGS: logo, branding, corporate design, cd, ci RESEARCH ABSTRACT: First, several interviews were conducted with representatives of the association. Subsequently, the designs of roofing companies from other federal states and guilds were analyzed. The strengths and weaknesses of these designs were evaluated and discussed with the association. Close collaboration with the client was essential to ensure that the result not only looked good but was also fully understood in its entirety. CHALLENGE: The most challenging part was creating a symbol that stands out from other logos in the industry while still gaining acceptance among the members.
