| DESIGN NAME: Babyfirst Ez 1 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Child Safety Car Seat INSPIRATION: Based on the insight into stylish NEV designs and family travel needs, this safety seat combines technological aesthetics with practicality. It features dynamic lines and fading surface transitions, along with elements like sleek contours and parametric textured surfaces on the seatback for a sleek, modern look and technological sophistication. The result is an intelligent safety seat that complements the next generation of automotive interiors and offers comprehensive protection to children. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This intelligent electric safety seat is designed for children from newborns to 7 years old, addressing the operational hassles parents encounter while traveling alone with their little ones. It integrates multiple features such as electric adjustment, intelligent detection, and ventilation to meet the diverse needs of parents. By offering a more comfortable and securer travel experience for children, it also ensures greater convenience and peace of mind for parents. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Remote control and monitoring are enabled via an app or a car system. A finger swipe on the side impact block activates electric 360 degree rotation, with dynamic lighting synced to the rotation direction. This evokes a high tech vibe and complements the streamlined headlight design of NEVs. At the front of the base, the LED screen features a circular button, providing clear tactile feedback for users to locate it without looking and easily adjust rotation and tilt, even in a dim cabin. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design and development of this intelligent safety seat started in Ningbo, China, in July 2023. It was introduced to the Chinese market in March 2025. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This safety seat meets the latest European Standard ECE R129 (I-Size). Its unique E.S.360 technology allows manual rotation and reset during power failure, and all materials comply with European and Asian environmental regulations for environmental sustainability and safety. It is made from PP and EPP materials, known for high performance in durability, protection, shock absorbing, and impact resistance. The cooling fabric and Tencel mesh fabric covers enhance overall breathability and comfort. This smart electric safety seat is a game changer, integrating features such as electric adjustment, intelligent monitoring, and ventilation to meet the varied needs of both children and parents. CHALLENGE: The challenge was to offer a safe and convenient travel experience for parents and children. This safety seat features electric rotation and tilt adjustments, allowing parents to control and monitor these functions remotely via an app or the car system, greatly enhancing convenience. To improve the travel experience for babies, silicone tweeting devices are embedded in both sides of the cushioning.
