This isn't exactly the view I wake up to, because I wake up hours before daylight.
But it is the view from my bed, where I usually bundle back up and have breakfast after coming in from morning chores. Most days I have to bribe Della with treats to get my spot back; she appears out of nowhere and occupies the central location before I'm even out of the room.
Here's a closer look at the trees behind my workshop:
And here's how they look on a rainy day:
The rain is returning, so I must get out there and make sure everyone is set for the night. Here's a little more color to peruse while I'm gone:
And...we're back to rain.

Beautiful! Rain here too, but we needed it so badly. The leaves are coming down quickly now!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful shots. Rain or no rain.
ReplyDeleteI love the golden colors of autumn, with touches of red and brown. Beautiful photos Quinn.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely view out your windows. It's raining a little bit here this morning and we're hopeful of a lot more although it would be nice if it stopped long enough for the little ones to trick or treat tonight.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of golds around here, too, and I really enjoy the warm glow (especially on rainy days).
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors and shapes, human-made and nature-made. Enjoy the rain! All my New England friends-and-relations have been talking about extreme drought conditions; I hope the drought is breaking and that your rains will be welcome and not deluging.

PS Della must have learned that trick from our Birdie.
How lovely. Our view is always the same unfortunately. :/ Happy November.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for sharing! Warm greetings to you from Montreal, Canada.
ReplyDeleteI would love to wake up to such a view! Larry took out the window in the bedroom that would have given such access, but I am thinking we should put one back in there. I miss it.
