kublaishawn Got the floppy with a couple early versions of a couple tracks a couple years back and loved it. Heard them and Soccer Team originally on Rollins radio show. Huge Magpie and fam fan! You guys always hook up the package with cool flyers and stickers. Signed note was pretty cool too! Thanks, stoked for this one! Favorite track: No One Knows I Left.

Risto My album of the year 2024, cannot get enough of them. On the surface Continuals sound simple and almost easy listening but there is depth to their music, layers that reveal themselves on every listen. I don't like comparing artists but I have to say that Continuals are right up there with Pond (of Seattle, early 90s)... one of my all time favourites. Thank you! Favorite track: No One Knows I Left.

Yes, I know I wasn’t called a bastard. There's no one left to give a damn; these lessons aren’t brand new. Fashion takes the blame when candor walks out on forsaken love and jealousy performing at the mall. Feel the warmth inside my hands. I’m losing you. We’re steady riding nothing, holding on beyond our view. Jettisoned to jetsam in another year or two. We won’t know the truth unless the tangle gets unscrewed.

about

The songs on this album were recorded in Baltimore, Maryland by J. Robbins at The Magpie Cage in October, 2021 and February, 2023. Specifically, the songs “March 3rd,” “Caught Me Slippin’,”and “Flying Cross” were recorded during the October '21 session, and all the rest of the songs were recorded during the February '23 session. Additional tracks (vocals, guitar, and percussion) were recorded by Ryan at his home in Alexandria (and in the case of “Before,” at Melissa’s home in DC). Ryan worked on the mixes for a while until he hit an insurmountable sonic wall, and then the whole band went back to Magpie to finalize all of the mixes with J.
