DJ Tomer & Ricardo have made a huge impact since first hooking up in 2019. They've since released more than 50 tracks and garnered over 6.5 million streams, while also gaining support from titans such as Black Coffee. This is not their first time on connected, having dropped previous singles here in 2022 and 2023, and they have also impressed with their debut album, ‘Echos’. Here they link with Shoba, a Durban-native turned global Afro house ambassador who has produced for plenty of big names, including Timmy Regisford and Culoe de Song and has had hits like ‘Wena’ with Djeff on Kazukuta Records and ‘Not the Same’ alongside Nighfreak and Imad, with a killer Black Coffee remix. As a DJ, he has played alongside Black Coffee at Madison Square Garden and performed at clubs such as Hï Ibiza.

Their smouldering 'Nhliziyo Yami' is a deeply resonant Afro house track that wraps around you like a warm embrace. Its title means 'my heart' in Zulu, and that's beautifully reflected in the music’s tender, heartfelt composition. Glowing chords flicker like embers in a fading fire while smoky, soulful vocals add a layer of lived-in emotion and raw vulnerability. Spiritual, ascending synth lines arc skyward like whispered prayers to illuminate a nocturnal soundscape under a canopy of stars.
