Other Technologies
In addition to cookies, on our App we use other tracking technologies such as software development kits (SDKs). These technologies enable us to track your activity on our App in order to monitor the use of Cookpad’s services, monitor the performance of our advertising campaigns on third party sites (such as Facebook and Google), and to improve, secure, and personalise our services.
SDKs used on our apps include:
- Firebase. Used to monitor errors and crashes in the app. Can use user’s device data (IP address, user ID) to track user activity in the app to provide context for issues. Also provides dynamic linking functionality (if a user opens a Cookpad link on a mobile device, they can be taken directly to the application).
- PerimeterX. Used to maintain the security and availability of the service.
- FreshChat. Used in Indonesia to provide chat support.
- Cloudinary. Used to provide image and video processing and conversion - resizing etc.
- On Android we make use of necessary Android/Google SDKs to provide system functionality and enable the app to use device feature (camera etc.) when the user grants permission to do so.
