Corps Citoyen – أحنّ إلى خبز أمّي

أحنّ إلى خبز أمّي (I Long for My Mother’s Bread) is the first single from Barrani, the record by Corps Citoyen, a multidisciplinary collective based between Tunis and Milan.

Dedicated to the diaspora generation – non-native European citizens living in the fracture of belonging – Barrani is memory as refuge, the body as an archive of gestures, and sound as a home in motion.

This first single is built on two fragments by Mahmoud Darwish, one of the most vital voices of Palestinian poetry.
