MWM Jade 9

A tricky sketch this week from  the Scrapbook Steals blog, it is the Midweek Mojo Jade 9.
I have never attempted a sunburst pattern before and had no idea how to do it.  I kinda just winged it with a ruler and some scissors.  There is a bit of overlapping going on and I am glad the centre point is covered with the photo! It took some time but I am really pleased with the finished design!
I love these papers, they are My Minds Eye Lost and Found 3 Oliver and I also used some MME Lost and Found 2 Breeze embellishments.

Thanks for dropping by!

Scrapbook Steals Midweek Mojo

At last I am up to date with the Mid Week Mojos over at the Scrapbook Steals blog.
Of course, this is merely because it is only week 2 of the current series!  I am determined to keep up this time!
This is the current MWM Pearl 2 designed by guest designer Katrina Hunt.
The kit I used is a former steal My Minds Eye Lost and Found 2 Sunshine

I was so lucky to attend a local crop on Saturday with my friend Kerys and some of the other Scrapbook steals community girls!  Although I didn't get these completely finished at the crop I did manage to get 2 almost done layouts.
the second one is the Pearl 1 MWM the sketch designed by Erin Schulz.
If you can't tell, these 2 layouts form a double page spread. My favourite way to scrap!
At the crop I also  got to test out todays steal  (Martha Stewart craft glitters) over at Scrapbook Steals.
I created a card for today's Monday Card Madness  following Kristy's fabulous sketch.
My little boat is sailing on a sea of Martha Stewart craft glitter hearts!
Although a very simple design it was not an easy card to make as I took only very limited supplies to the crop!
I ended up having to borrow the circle punches to execute my design!
This is the photo Kristy took of it and has used both on the Scrapbook Steals webpage and also on the Scrapbook Steals blog today.
Off to get caught up on some other crafty goodness!
Thank you for dropping by!

Scrapbook Steals Opal 4

Here is my entry to ScrapbookSteals blog challenge Opal 4
this week was a double page layout which took a little more time although having the fabulous sketch made it a lot quicker! It is always the embellishments that take the most time for me!
If you haven't found Scrapbook Steals yet you should really take a look, you will find twice daily bargains in all your favourite products!
I stalk them every day at 9am!
The papers I used here are Bo Bunny ' Winter Joy' a pack I got from Scrapbook Steals for a song!
There is a new sketch every Wednesday over on the Scrapbook Steals blog.  Can you imagine my surprise last week when I went to check out the new sketch and discovered I won a prize from the week before!
Thank you so much Kristy, my prize arrived this weekend and I love it, already planning some new makes with it!

Thank you so much for dropping in, hope you are keeping warm and have lots of fun tomorrow night trick or treating!

Opal 3

 My Opal club entry.
I only just became aware of the challenges over on the Scrapbook Steals blog while away at the retreat.  There is a sketch every Wednesday to be completed by Monday.
I picked up these papers at Scrapbook Steals last week, they are part of the Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends collage kit.  They are so vintagey, right up my street!
I used my Tim Holtz mini paper rosettes die and just love how they worked with these papers, they are so pretty!
The hearts are a Stampin Up punch.  The seam binding and eyelet are also Stampin Up.
The quotes were on a sheet in the collage kit too.
Thanks for dropping in, have a great weekend!

WOYWW

I have just about missed WOYWW but as it is still Wednesday here across the pond, thought I would still post!
As I have nothing going on at my desk today I thought I would show you the fun things we made at our SU class last week, the bat is my favourite!
and also the desk at the retreat I went to at the weekend.
If you want some more desk nosing pop on over to Julia's blog and why not join in?
thanks for dropping by!

WOYWW and LIM

For once I feel Wednesday came slowly this week, but I think it is because I have been under the weather and not had the energy to do much.  My desk is actually clear at the moment, although I do intend to scrap today so thought I would show my latest bits that I bought.  Hope to get started on these packs later!
These are the new Simple Stories packs, absolutely love everything SS brings out!
Back in August I was lucky enough to win a Simple Stories pack '100 days of summer' and this is what I created with some of it last week (excuse the wonky shot, not used to photographing double paged layouts)
It certainly feels like the end of summer now!  The cold hasn't hit us yet but it is literally around the corner, lots of storminess coming for us in the next couple of days along with the dreaded white stuff - yes, the joy of living in the mountains is it comes early!  still, rather that than rain!
**********
this little goody pack was a freebie along with my buys from Emma's Paperie, they wrap everything up in tissue too, so lovely!
oh and I just happened upon this bargain Bo Bunny kit that I couldn't miss out on!
Time to scrap some Christmas pics I think!
here is a card I struggled with this week
I love the Less is More challenge but it is so out of my comfort zone, not altogether happy with this, it looks so bare!  The good thing about these cards is they mail so easily, no bits and pieces to poke through the envelopes and they are cheap to mail too, a perfect size.  Maybe I will challenge myself to keep making them and send them to the troops through Operation Write Home.  You send blank cards for the military stationed abroad to use to send to their family and friends.
Anyway, the LIM challenge this week was to use mainly the colour of your eyes, mine are blue hence, this little blue boy!
Thanks for dropping by, if you would like to participate in WOYWW please pop over to visit Julia for more details and to add your link (lots more desks to snoop at too)!

Bo Bunny Sketch Challenge

************************
I came across a fantastic sketch over on the Bo Bunny Blog designed by Irene Tan for their layout sketch challenge.
I love that Bo Bunny has these fabulous papers already die cut, it made following the sketch so simple!
The background papers are Olivia and I also cut the butterflies out of some leftover Gabrielle.

These photos are some of my favourites from when my guys were younger. When we lived in Scotland (the first time) my wellies were always by the door, it is a very wet place!  These two little imps were always putting them on and this day decided to do little dances while wearing them.
Supplies:
Papers ~ Bo Bunny 'Olivia' and Gabrielle
dies ~ marianne creatables
title ~ Thickers
Embellishments ~ Prima flowers, Basic Grey buttons, lace,
tags from  kit by Colorbok
Hope you have a fabulous weekend, thanks for dropping by!
