Samantha van Eijk on Instagram: "Mijn nieuwe IKEA DIY/hack! Super blij met hoe deze tafel is geworden en wat is die lekker makkelijk om te maken 🥰. Ik heb de EKET gebruikt als onderstel. Van de LACK tafel heb ik alleen het bovenblad gebruikt. Met decoratie folie van de Karwei heb ik het blad gewrapt. Zoals jullie zien heb ik een föhn gebruikt, hierdoor kan je makkelijker de hoeken strak krijgen en is het ook makkelijker om eventuele bubbels eruit te halen. Om de folie strak te krijgen heb ik zelf een bankpas gebruikt en deze in een vaatdoekje gewikkeld (zo is het minder scherp en dus minder kans om het kapot te maken 😉), maar je kan uiteraard ook een speciale tool ervoor halen. Op de onderkant van het blad heb ik precies opgemeten en afgetekend waar het onderstel moest komen om er zo voo
Micha | Berlin on Instagram: "Betonplatten gießen als Ikea Upcycling Hack. Hierbei diente mir das alte schwarze Tablett als Gießform. Aber mal ganz von vorne! Ich hatte den alten Look des Coffeetables irgendwie satt und wollte ihm ein neues Leben einhauchen. Da kam mir die Idee, das alte Gestell mit zwei Betonplatten zu versehen. Hierfür verwendete ich Bastelbeton aus dem Baumarkt. Das Tablett habe ich dann vor dem Gießen ordentlich mit Olivenöl eingeschmiert. Danach kann der Beton auch schon in die Tablettform gegossen werden. Als Verstärkung habe ich noch ein Aluminiumgitter in die Betonmasse eingefügt und mit einem Löffel etwas tiefer gedrückt. Sicher ist sicher! Nach 2 - 3 Stunden ist der Beton trocken und nach ca. 24 Stunden vollkommen ausgehärtet. Auch wenn es im Video so leic

I thought I’d also share for those who have power tools, how this can be made. The ‘no more nails’ glue and wood glue are still going strong however, for those who have power tools and feel it would be more robust, here is my take on making my coffee table / side table with the addition of screws and pilot holes. I have still used wood glue too, making it extra strong.
