It's actually quite easy to DIY my own homemade gel (gelli) plate and I have so much fun mono-printing my own photos! 🤩 I created this beautiful print from a photo I took in Chicago. I used a home made gelatin plate, a laser photo and acrylic paints to image transfer the photo.

In this art class, we are going to focus entirely on creating successful image transfers using the Gelli Printing technique. We will start by using downloaded laser-printed images on pre-painted backgrounds. Then we will move on to using those same printed images, with a two colour monoprint. I am starting this piece off with some strips of hand dyed fabric leftover from a previous project. I sewed them together. The strips are about 4" wide. The colors are primarily yellow, purple and white.
