Then fold lengthwise in half, open and fold widthwise. Open the folded paper and mark halfway from the center of the paper, along the 4 center lines. Snip along each center line from the edge until you reach the marked points. Fold each cut flap toward the diagonal fold lines.Repeat for all four sides until you get a 4-pointed star shape. Glue the flaps together. Turn the star around and define the creases and folds with your fingertips. Repeat process with another sheet of card stock. Felt Garland Tree | Felt Garland Tree #christmasdecor #Christmas #christmascrafts | By Designs by Dina | Hello everyone it's Dina Ray with Designs by Dina and today we're going to make a cute little Christmas tree using these felt pom pom garlands that I think I got at Walmart maybe and a Styrofoam cone and I'm using Prosecco paint pixie metallic paint and I'm just going to put a coat of that over the Styrofoam so you don't see that white show through I wasn't sure you could see through it and I thought well maybe it needs to be a little similar color to the actual cream color felt balls on there so and then I had this candle stick from Hobby Lobby I believe and I just painted it Prosecco too I used it for another project and it already had a color on it and I didn't really think it went well so I thought I would try the Prosecco because you guys know it's one of my favorite paint pixie metallic paints so given that a couple coats. And you guys I love these glass mats that I got. This one I got actually from Michael's and it's a We Are Memory Keepers. And it's the best. You can just wipe off your paint. And it's super easy clean up. So now I'm just going to take the hot glue and I'm just going to wrap that garland all the way around that cone. And just gluing here and there. Now that first layer I glued it all the way around just so that it would stay in place. But then here I decided I probably could just just kind of go a few and skip a few and then glue some. So and then pushing it down as I go so it'll be nice and tight and hopefully you won't be able to see any of that Styrofoam. And you just repeat that process and those glue strings were horrible. They were everywhere so I would get my heat tool there every once in a while just to get those glue strings off of there. It's like spider webs. So here we're nearing the top and I'm not sure at this point like how it's going to end up. How we're going to do the top. But it actually worked out perfectly. And because those felt balls give just a little bit. I was able to kind of smoosh them together. Glue them and it it worked out perfect. Now I did cut off a couple of the balls at the end. And then as I was gluing that together I thought it really needed one more right beside that top one just just to make it look a little fuller and so there we just glued it right in there and it was perfect. So I wasn't too worried about getting the reds and the whites or the cream spaced out just right. I just let it fall where it did. You know just wrapping it because otherwise I would have had to take all that apart and glue them each individually and I did not want to do that. So I just glue the bottom of that cone onto the candlestick and then now we're going to work on a bow. So this is some ribbon I got it. I figured it was a little bit too wide of a ribbon. So I just cut it down the middle and decided to make it just a little bit thinner because the the tree isn't all that big. And then I'm using some sorry silk. And that's that crocheted lace from the Dollar Tree that I just love. And then I just used the other half of that red and white striped. And then that is some drop cloth that I just had a piece of. And I just cut it in half. And then I thought well I really needed it to to end with the red and white. So I put it some more strips of the red and white. And then that cute little pom pom wired cream colored stuff. I love it you guys. It just makes everything look so whimsical. I it's just a thing. Then I'm just going to fluff it a little bit and figure out where in the world I want to put that bow first of all. I tried the top but it was just way too big for the top. So I thought well I just add that to the bottom. And the more I looked at the top I didn't really think it needed anything on the top because it ended with that one pom pom on the very top. And I thought it was super cute like that. So I just left the top. But you could add a star you could add whatever you wanted to the top. So I put my green greenery in there to kind of just fill it up and add a little bit of color other than just the red and white. And so that is my signature heart. I put that on just about every item that I make if it's possible. And then after I was I thought I was through. And sometimes I have a tendency to quit a little bit too early. And then after I get off camera I start adding more things to it. And that was kind of and I thought I need to push that button. So, I pushed that live button again or record button again and started adding just a little bit of that greenery just here and there in some little spots that I thought needed and I thought that really added a lot to it.
