Slice it in half and then pop out the seed like this. Place it in a glass of water and let it soak in that pot now. Then grab a piece of paper towel and wet it. Squeeze off the excess water. Then take out the avocado seed and place it on top and wrap it around it like this. Place this in a Ziploc bag Seal it. Place this somewhere warm and dark like a pop up below the oven. Check back in a few weeks and you'll see roots. The seed is cracked open. Roots are forming. Now, it's going to grow a stem from the top. Next thing you want to do is grab a pile with some soil in it and plant it but leave the top exposed. Look at these roots. Be gentle when you plant it. Keep the soil nice and moist at all times and cover it with a Ziploc bag for extra humidity. Boom. This is what you want it to look like. Places somewhere nice and sunny and pretty soon that little seed is going to grow magic. Check this out. Go baby avocado tree this into this about 12 inches long. You can trim off the top. Once you see new leaves are forming, it's ready for what's next. Go outside in your garden and dig a hole or grab a big pot like this one and transplant your little avocado seedling. Take good care of this little baby tree and pretty soon have your own avocados growing. So next time you eat an avocado, don't throw out the pit. Look at this. All these from just one seed. Crazy. So grow your own avocados.

I’d recommend using plants with the same watering requirements. Any pothos, philodendron, monstera, scindapsus, would be perfect together! The exact plants that I used are: Monstera Deliciousa Albo Monstera Standlyana Scindapsus Exotica Golden Pothos Pink Princess Philodendron Silver Sword Philodendron Philodendron Summer Glory Philodendron McDowell Alocasia Regal Shields Maranta Beauty Kim I used two 4” plants per planter! When I water, I start with the top planter and the water trickles down through each perfectly. I hope you’ll give it a try and create your own! You’ll be so happy you did!! I started with this big urns to make a grand entrance. I have several more things I’m doing which I will share as I go. #vintage #antiques #antiquedecor #vintagedecor #woodsandwhites #woodsandwhitesdecor #newoldhome | Deb and Danelle | Facebook
