The Det Stora Ovasendet LP which came from Swedish duo Dard A Ranj Fran Det Hebbershalska Samfundet (aka Michel Isorinne and Varg) - or D.A.R.F.D.H.S. for short - has been given one hell of a remix treatment. Isorinne takes the lead on this remix EP by delivering an overpowering session of meditative drone, comparable to an industrial version of Echospace's The Coldest Season LP, while we can only assume that Fsherman Martin Skogehall provided the acidy-bleepy 'Smell the Flesh' remix. Andreas Tilliander then delivers more analogue acid action in his mix, while Varg teams up with fellow Northern Electronics producer Acronym for some more quality deep techno they've been making a name out of. It's Mr Tophat & Art Alfie's phone-buzzing remix, however, that's most obviously designed for the dancefloor. (juno)

To me Varg's Misantropen works are something of their own beyond other music. They can never be compared to anything else, even his other material. They are incomparable to anything in general. n. janssen
