And that is ... ox gall ! I know, I know, not the most glamourous component here. But ox gall is in fact very popular with watercolor artists for its unique quality. It helps to create a very smooth effect and to melt the colors one into the next to make beautiful shades and transitions. Though I did not use watercolor here but chalk ink stamp, the result is the same as you still need to wet the ink first. So, are you ready to try ?
