Mixed-media wall sculpture made of 95% hand-cast abaca paper. After it has dried and gesso is applied, the artist adds a cement mixture, which dries quickly for a beautifully cracked surface. She then covers the surface with encaustic wax. This deepens the color of the cracks and makes a smooth blended surface. A sand-painted silver panel is fired and patina copper on wood is placed in the opening of the panel. Sold as a triptych as shown or individually. Each panel weighs approx. 5lbs. Due to the nature of the work, each piece is unique and will vary slightly.
