As adults we shouldn’t have to explain the basics of respect to our coworkers/friends/𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀. When you find yourself expaining it over & over in different ways, hoping it will finally get through— just stop. It won’t get through because Narcissists respect no one. Some know how to fake it, but that’s because its just a means to an end— because there’s something they want from that person. When they stop getting what they want, or they’ve emotionally depleted the person, or the person has the audacity to hold them accountable for their actions— that’s when the faking stops, the gloves come off & they set out to destroy that person while also looking for new supply. People are objects & possessions to Narcs. You will NEVER be truly treated with respect by a Narc.
