Looking south along the Las Vegas Strip circa 1965. This photo was possibly taken from the 24 story northern tower built in 1961 referred to as the Diamond of the Dunes. The Royal Palm and surrounding land later succumbed to becoming the site of the second southern tower in 1979. Note the fuel prices from the day. Photo credit unknown.

1988. This is the Vegas I most remember, went there many times in late 80's thru the 90's. Then I didn't go back until my 50th Birthday in 2015 and my oh my how it grew!!! Unbelievable. I prefer the old days ;) But had the time of my life with my girlfriends on my 50th ❤
