A Wheely Great Birthday

This is another masculine card that I have created with the Hunkydory Sporting Silhouettes collection, it has some really great images in it, some unusual ones as well.

This time I have gone with the cycling theme, I used one of the super images along with some of the printed card stock and one of the printed papers.  As before, I used a black card base and added a sentiment from the collection, I punched three of the little wheels from the paper to embellish my card.

Perfect Catch

This is another card created with the Hunkydory Sporting Silhouettes collection, this collection is perfect for masculine cards.

I created a black card base and covered it with one of the printed card stock sheets, I cut the top, right corner from the A4 sheet so that I could use it on the top, right corner of my card.  I added one of the super toppers along with the matching frame and a couple of sentiments.

Make a Splash

I have another masculine card to share today, I have used the Hunkydory Sporting Silhouettes collection to create a double Z-fold card.  This design looked good in my head but didn't quite work out as I had planned - does that ever happen to you?

I used one large image, two smaller images, a couple of sentiments and one sheet of printed card stock.  I created the rosette with one of the printed papers that comes with this collection.

Sail Away with Me

I have been having a play with the Hunkydory Sporting Silhouettes collection, I wouldn't normally go for this type of collection but I thought it would be ideal for masculine makes.

This is a very simple Z-fold card, I created a black card base and covered it with one of the printed card stock sheets, I added a topper to the front and a sentiment on the inside - I said it was simple!

You're a Classic

I needed a masculine card for my Brother-in-Law so I had a look through my Hunkydory collections and decided to use this image and card stock from the A Good Sport Deluxe Card collection - I'm not sure quite what sport this image is depicting!

He is quite hard to make for as he doesn't really have any hobbies and isn't very interested in sport so I decided to go with the old masculine favourite -  a pint of Beer.   I used one of the toppers, a sentiment and a couple of sheets of the card stock, I used another sheet to decorate the inside of the card.

Happy Father's Day

This is another Father's Day card that I created with the Docrafts Mr. Mister collection, I managed to design this one without the help of Pinterest.

I used three of the papers and one of the decoupage toppers, there are lots of layers.  I added the Father's Day sentiment over the top of a little cup, it was also from the collection and added a verse to the inside.

You're the Best

As anyone that follows my bog will know, I really struggle when it comes to making cards for family or close friends and it was certainly the case when I sat down to create a Father's Day card for my son to give his Dad.  I turned to my usual place to go when I struggle and found this card on Pinterest, it was pinned from the Docrafts site which unfortunately is no longer there!

My card is very slightly different but not much -  I left a couple of bits off, added a banner and computer generated the sentiment, I also decorated the inside and added a little verse.

On the Canal

This is the card that I have created for my Brother in Law, I find him quite difficult to make for because he does not have any hobbies,  he did have a canal boat though so that is what I decided to go with.

I used images from the Hunkydory Picture Perfect It's a Mans Life pad and papers from the Hobbies for Him pad.  I computer generated the sentiment and added a verse to the inside.

Chase the Moon

I have a card to share today, I have used my Stamperia Cosmos collection to create a vintage style card that I think would be good for a man, I know my eldest son would like it.

I have used two papers, a topper and a sentiment from the Cosmos collection, the strip of wood grain paper is from the Craft Consortium Wood Textures collection, I also cut one of the leaves from those papers, the other leaf and the flower have been cut from the Cosmos papers.  I distressed and inked the edges of everything and added some twine from my stash.

Aged Perfectly

It is my husband's Birthday today, I am not going to say how old he is but he was born in the sixties - I found this image on the internet and thought it would be perfect.

It was very white when I printed it out so I aged it with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink so that it would match the Graphic 45 A Proper Gentleman papers that I used.  I computer generated the sentiment and also aged it with the Distress Ink.  I always find it so difficult to create cards for my family, do you find it difficult or is it just me?

Life of the Party

This is another masculine card that I have created with my Authentique Party Collection, it is rather unusual to find a collection that is perfect for both male and female makes.

I used three of the papers and a topper from one of the Cut-Apart sheets, there are two different Cut-Apart sheets in this collection.  I cut the sentiment from another of the Cut-Apart toppers and used my Tim Holtz Paper Rosette die to create the rosette.

A Great Big Happy Birthday

I managed to pick up a copy of the Authentique Party Collection and decided to create a masculine card.

I used two of the papers and fussy cut all of the elements from another of the papers.  The sentiment is an old Hot off the Press stamp from my stash, I stamped it on one of the papers and cut it into a banner shape.

Three More

These are the final three cards that are featured in the October edition of Making Cards Magazine, the craft papers that come with this edition are all suitable for creating cards for men and boys.

I love these fun owls, all I have added to create this card is some cardstock and a sentiment.

I cut this lovely scene into three sections to create a triptych design and finally another sporting themed card, this time skateboarding and snowboarding toppers.

Four simple designs, the purpose of these cards is to show what you can create using just the free papers - all I have added is some cardstock, sentiments, ribbon and card candi.

Level Up

I created this card for a family friend using the a topper and papers from the Little Dudes collection from a Hunkydory USB, I'm not sure which one it is.

I die cut the little space invader images from one of the papers, they take me back to my teenage years, they had a machine in our local pub and I would spend hours on it!  You get toppers, sentiments, patterned papers and inserts in the collection, I used bits from most of them.

Fun and Games

This is the card that I created for my youngest son to give to my eldest son for his Birthday.

I used my Hunkydory Sporting Favourites Picture Perfect Pad, you get a fantastic range of artwork in these pads, you get four sheets of each design so they are perfect for creating decoupage as well.

21 Again

My eldest son asked me to create a 21st Birthday card for a friend of his and this is what I came up with.

I used some very old papers from my stash along with some dark blue card stock.  The 'happy' is a Tim Holtz die and the 'BIRTHDAY' was made using my Memory Box Alphabet Tile Letters, they are actually square but I decided to trim them into a different shape.  I used some old number dies that I have lost the packaging for and added some hand made card candi.

A Man cannot survive ...

This is another of the cards that I created for my Husband's Birthday.

I used a download from CraftsUprint, I added a few extra layers of card stock but everything else was from the kit.  There was some of my favourite fussy cutting involved in making this one.
