Merry Christmas

The optional twist at CHNC this week is "Include A Stocking".

I have used a paper from a paper pack.  The image/sentiment is from PaperCrafting World.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I added pearls to the corners of the image/sentiment panel.

Dare To Be Different

We are at the midway point of the Any Christmas Card Challenge at 12 Months of Christmas.

I have used a digital paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.  The image is from Paper Crafting World and the sentiment is from Create with TLC.  Colouring is with copic markers and Wink of Stella. I also added some Glossy Accents over the bauble.

Feel Better Soon Mariyah

When I saw this freebie on My PaperCrafting World, I just knew I had to make a card for Mariyah.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Glitter n Sparkle - Baby (she is 4 - does that count as baby still?)
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/07/challenge-41.html
I Feel The Love Project - Project 23
http://ifeeltheloveproject.blogspot.co.nz/2013/07/i-feel-love-project-july-2013.html
PINspirational Challenge - Photo Inspiration (heart-caring)
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/07/pinspirational-challenge-66.html

I'm not sure that my card fits for the Glitter n Sparkle one as Mariyah is four but I thought it would give this project a bit more exposure if more people saw my card!  Besides, compared to me, four is a baby!

I'm also a bit of a stretch on the PINspirational challenge - inspired by the heart as meaning caring.

I have used a paper from a NZ themed paper pad by Rosies Studio.  This one features lots of jandals (called flip-flops in the US).  I have used the freebie image I mentioned above and coloured it using my copic markers.  I have added some purple glitter tape from American Crafts and highlighted the flower centres and Barney's eyes using Glossy Accents.  As I need to post this card from NZ to USA, I have kept the embellishing to a minimum and fairly flat so that it arrives in good time and in good condition!

Easter Bunny is running late (or early!)

Easter has passed so I think that this Easter card will be for 2014!

The card is for the following challenges:
My PaperCrafting World - Digi Desserts Fridaze
http://mypapercrafting.com/search/label/Digi%20Desserts%20Fridaze
Peppercus Designs - Easter
http://peppercus-design-challengeblog.blogspot.de/2013/03/challenge-16-bis-14042013.html
Brown Sugar - Flowers
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/03/challenge-35-flowers_29.html

The paper I have used comes from my stash - it was a scrapbook paper that I was going to make a scrapbook page with and never got around to so I've used it on a card instead!

The image is from My PaperCrafting World and can be found by following the link above.  I have coloured the image with my copic markers.  I have made three flowers using my Mariannes Die and some metallic paper.  I have surrounded these with some rhinestones to give the card a bit of bling.

You're my pot of gold

Although St Patrick's Day has been and gone, this image inspired me to use some shamrock paper.

The card is for the following challenges:
PaperCrafting World - Anything Goes
http://mypapercrafting.com/search/label/Digi%20Desserts%20Fridaze

The shamrock paper is from my stash.  The image is from Melinda's PaperCrafting World.  The paper across the card is actually a yellowish colour but looks more green in the photo.  I have also added some glittery gold pipe cleaner!

St Patricks Day

St Patricks Day is a day that I'm am well aware of with a daughter that loves all things Irish.  At the moment she is trying to google to find a ceilidh dance this weekend - without success .  She should be going to bed as it is after 10pm!  Anyway, here is a St Patricks Day card I created:

The card is for the challenges at:
My PaperCrafting World - Anything Goes
http://mypapercrafting.com/search/label/Digi%20Desserts%20Fridaze
Broken Box Stock - St Patricks Day
http://brokenboxstock.blogspot.co.nz/2013/03/challenge-21-saint-patricks-day.html
QKR Stampede - Green or St Patricks Day
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2013/03/challenge-29-show-us-greenst-pattys-day.html
Glitter n Sparkle - St Patricks Day
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/03/challenge-23.html
Clear it Out Challenge - St Patricks + green stash
http://clearitoutchallenge.blogspot.ca/2013/03/its-challenge-time.html
PINSpirational Challenge - Shamrocks
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/03/pinspirational-challenge-48.html

I have had this background paper for years and not done anything with it.  The intention originally was to use it to scrap some ceilidh photos of my daughter but that didn't happen!!

I have used an image from My PaperCrafting World as the centre piece and die-cut it with an interesting shaped Spellbinders Die.  The shape of the die enabled me to add some rhinestones for interest.  The buttons used are a mixed bag from my stash - different sizes and colours and hard to find two the same!

The green satin bow has been tied using some ribbon that has also been sitting in my stash for some time.  So not much new about this card except the image and die.

You're So Tweet

After a hectic week last week in which I didn't manage to do some of the challenges I like to do, I'm managing to complete some of them this week:

This card is for the following challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch 195
http://sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/sweet-sketch-wednesday-195-bugaboo.html
My PaperCrafting World - Anything Goes
http://mypapercrafting.com/search/label/Digi%20Desserts%20Fridaze
PINSpirational Challenge - Yummy Purple
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/03/pinspirational-challenge-47.html
QKR Stampede - 3 of something (papers)
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2013/03/challenge-28-3-of-something.html
Brown Sugar - Greeting
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/03/challenge-31-greeting.html

Here is the sketch that I followed for this card:

The card uses several different papers from my stash.  I know that two of them are from Crafty Bitz but not sure on the polka dot one.  The image comes from My PaperCrafting World and is called You're So Tweet.  I have partially coloured some flower pieces - left some of the original colour to show through for a change.  I have also added some rhinestones and a pearl to the centre of the flower.

Happy Bird Day to You

This is my second GDT spot - this time for Melinda's PaperCrafting World.

My father loves toucans so I thought this image would be fantastic for a birthday card for him:

I have used an image from My PaperCrafting World for this card.  I have coloured it using copic markers and then die-cut with a Spellbinders labels die.  The wording comes with the image so that was a bonus!

The paper is some from Crafty Bitz and the grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts.

I bought a pack of white feathers a while back thinking they would be useful.  The packet was still unopened but they were perfect for this card.  I added colour to them using Perfect Pearl Mists.  The two colours that I have used are Grape Fizz and Mandarin.

The image is from PaperCrafting World and has been coloured with copic markers and kindy glitz.

The snowflake is a Spellbinders Die and I have added a pretty blue pearl to it.

Reindeer Kitty

I have made a card using an image that I won last week at PaperCrafting World.

This card is for the following challenges:
Bearly Mine Challenges - sketch
http://bearlymine-challenges.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/challenge-68-monthly-sketch.html
PaperCrafting World - anything goes with a PaperCrafting World image

Pennys Paper - Anything Goes
http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/pennys-challenge-109-anything-goes.html

The card follows the sketch found at the Bearly Mine Challenges link above.

The background papers for this card are all from Bearly Mine Designs and matted with cardstock from Rosie's Studio.  The image as I said above is the one that I won at PaperCrafting World for their first Digi Desserts Fridaze challenge.  As soon as I saw this image, I wanted to craft something with it!  The die-cuts used throughout the card are all from Spellbinders - snowflake, pennant, rectangle, circle and scallop circle.  I also added some pearls to the centres of the snowflakes to give them a bit more definition.

She sells sea shells

I couldn't resist that title!

The card is for the new weekly challenge at Melinda's Papercrafting World:
http://www.mypapercrafting.com/2013/01/ddf13-1-4.html

I was originally going to use the freebie from this week but then decided I really wanted to use this image that I have had for a while and not yet managed to use.  I have used sandy tonings throughout the card.

The image is from PaperCrafting World and has been coloured using copic markers in the E range.  The grosgrain ribbon is from American Crafts and the backing paper from DCWV.  The gemstones are some I have had for a while - used nearly everything else in the set except these larger ones.
