Manly Monday Chalk Markers Hello card

I stamped The sunrise and car with chalk markers. The car is a second generation stamp image. I added yellow, blue and green, distress ink to create the sunny scene. The car is from Tim Holtz and the sunrise and sentiment is unknown.
I put that front panel onto a black card stock card base.
This card was made for Craft Roulette #287. The parameters were: project – card with a hello. Colors – crisp. Element – Sunny. Random – pennant.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Colors-classroom colors (whiteboard and blue jeans on kids.).
Element-from the country (sunflowers are in the country).
Random– Frame. ( You can see the multiple frames of yellow and brown cut out with my Cricut)
The sunflower image is Stampendous. I color copied the packaging of the die set and then colored some areas with my Copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I used a white gel pen bought on Amazon. The sentiment sticker is by Cloud 9.

Upside Down Dog and Cat card

This is my Craft Roulette card. Episode 283. Parameters:
Project: Card for a nerd or nerdy. Beach colors. Element: Hip. Random: animal print. I hated these parameters and considered not contributing this week. But my friends helped pull it together.

I hope my sister gets it. She’s a vet tech and hurt her back. So I deliberately stenciled the dogs and cats upside down.
The stencil is an oldie from my stash. I started by using the ink left on the daubers of distress ink colors Tea Dye and Old Paper. I added a little bit of Tea Dye ink after that ink was gone. Then I came in with Black Soot distress oxide using the ink on that dauber. I was going to try and add shadows to the dogs and cats but I didn’t know how because they were going to be upside down. It wasn’t necessary.

There were spaces that I didn’t have room to add another animal so I found an unknown animal paw print rubber stampI stamped it in the empty spaces.with Antique Linen distress oxide. the inside stamp is unknown, and the heart dies were from my stash. It needed that pop of color to accentuate that the animals were upside down for a reason. Sometimes when I put a panel on the wrong way I’ll keep it that way with a note inside.

Pretty Purple Cheshire Cat Card

This is my card for Craft Roulette #260
The challenge parameters were:
Project-An envelope
Colors-toys
Element-Children's story
Random-List
I made my card look like an envelope with the patterned papers slanted into a V. The patterned paper has the Cheshire Cat in it, which would account for the toys' colors and the children's story element. The list is seen when you open the card to reveal "My favorite things..." Look at the photo below.
The card was for my nephew, and he really liked it.

This second card was for the bonus gallery. It has the look of an envelope, same colors as above, the children's story is in my kid's cabinet, and the list of Happy Birthday stickers.

Craft Roulette #260 color combo. We are doing a side color challenge along with the chosen color parameter because the color parameter can be very loosely interpreted. It's been said that they will allow it as long as you can justify it.

Manly Monday Colored Pencils Bird on a Tree

I made this card for Craft Roulette #258 with the guest May May Helms. The parameters were:

The images are by Maya Road. The tree has a trunk with some bare branches. I had to do some masking to fill the tree with leaves and put the bird on top. One of the parameters was pencils, so I used colored pencils on my image.

This is the background made with distress ink. Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Manly Monday Beach Scene Card

The car stamp is by Tim Holtz in brown chalk marker, that I regret giving them to my niece.the die cut was bought on eBay.

The baby is interested in what is Mom and Dad doing. Details on the guy/girl panel: they are on a die cut that resembles a rope net or mermaid tail scales. The chair is by Gina Marie and the flip flops were drawn by my husband. Y

Then you open the next panel and you can see the parts and pieces that I used to make this  card. The seashell die cut is by Creative Expression (i think). I used a post note to ask off the different shelves and seaweed with I sprayed it with glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels. Same chair and shoes but the sunglasses are Stampin Up

This card was made for Craft Roulette #253

Card with 3 folds, sweater colors, footwear for an element, and Post it for Random. It’s a Gatefold card with an extra hinge. All of the papers are by Carta Bella. Other

A Craft Roulette original, the “Zoyfold” card

As the title says, Craft Roulette’s Mary Gunn and Irene Smith came up with this name to describe a card design that is part Z-Fold card and part Joy fold card.

In the image above, the embossing folder is by Darice and I inked it with distress ink. The vellum is from the Paper Studio and I cut it into a circle using my Creative Memories cutting system. The gems are by Couture Creations.

The brick embossing folder by Darice. I inked it with all different inks before spraying it with water. This is the inside flap other side of the green cardstock.

The vintage looking door stamp is from Deep Red Stamps. I used watercolors to color it then die cut it out with a Sizzix oval scalloped die. The oval mat behind the image is also by Sizzix.

This card was made for Craft Roulette episode #249. The parameters were: project-“Zoyfold” card. Colors-elegant. Elements-Front Door. Random-3 circles.

Peace, Love and Joy Big card

This card is from Craft Roulette #244.

 The parameters were:

Project-Joy fold

Color-Bold/cold

Element-family

Random-ribbon

The gold paper, letter dies and the white die cut layered at the bottom of the cluster are from Sizzix. The embossing folder is by Gina Marie. The die cut that the ampersand sign is on is by Creative Expression. There’s Rick Rack on the left side of the card on top of a snowflake background stamp that I heat embossed in green embossing powder.  The joy tags on the right are sewn up there with not twine, but like hemp ribbon.
It’s a very heavy card. I would probably have to add extra postage. Thanks for looking.

Fold Out Christmas Tree Farm Card

I made this card for Craft Roulette #239 the parameters were to make an interactive card with picnic colors, farm elements, and strips of paper.
I’m not sure what this card fold is called but I am obsessed with it. It’s so easy to score and it looks like a rock star. The first picture shows what it looks like when you take it out of the cart. You don’t even see the trees on the outside until you open it up. I love that when you do open it up you have a full 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 view that stands up for display.
My picnic color is green. My farm is a Christmas tree farm and I have 2 strips of silver Sizzix mirror paper on the insides. I had a hard time getting the two darkest colored trees to fold in so you wouldn’t see them until the card was opened.
The front of the card is a Cricut draw, and I did it with a glitter marker. The middle Christmas   tree is from a store bought card, but the other trees were cut with my Cricut. The star top are from a corner punch that is made of stars. The perfect little size for things like this. I drew the tree trunks on with colored pencils and Copic markers.

Pink and blue Cakes Card

This is my Craft Roulette #217. card:
Project: A2
Colors-French cafe
Element: June
Random: polka Dots-the background stamp

I made the background patterned paper with distress crayons. I pressed a crayon down on the outside edge of the white paper and then pulled the color in towards the center after each pass until I made a rectangle in the middle of the paper. Then I dipped my finger into water and followed the pattern started on the inside working my way out to the edge of the paper.  I then stamped a polka dot background with a Love Nicole stamp in a matching color.

The blue glitter paper is not glittery. It has a coating over it so it doesn’t shed. It is by The Paper Studio. The blue opulent paper is by Die Cuts with a View. The white with blue squiggly lines is by Cricut. I colored the image in with Copic markers.

Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Twisted Easel Card for Craft Roulette

I made this bokeh background using different size circle stamps and white pigment ink on vellum. It looks really nice with a plain dark cardstock behind it like in the image below but not so much with light polka dot paper in the card like the image above.

Le Moulin Rouge Craft Roulette Card

I originally colored this image in the traditional red colors where the building is all red with a little yellow reminiscent of the windows' lights. But after coloring this image thrice, I went for the purple dress and a gray building with yellow accents. It works because yellow and purple are across from each other on the color wheel.
I found this piece of patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket that matched perfectly. You would have thought that I colored the image with this patterned paper in mind. No, on the contrary, it was one of those patterns that I would have used on the other side which was basically white cardstock.
Then, all I had to do was make a purple card base and tape the three layers together.
I made this card for Craft Roulette #232. I got all four parameters in one image but let’s review the parameters:
Project: French Bulletin Board (the pattern is in the windows.)
Colors: Winter Desserts (plum pudding and lemon meringue)
Element: Balloons (her hat looks like balloons)
Random: Beads (She’s wearing beads around her neck)
I was thinking about this challenge and what else I could do for it and the new ornament stamp by Deep Red Stamps could be balloons, upside down balloons. LoL! Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Alice in Wonderland Belated Birthday card

Project: This fun fold card is an A2 and is called a Dutch door. The front of  the card base is cut in half so the top of the card opens up separately from the bottom. I hope that makes sense to future me.

The patterned paper is by Cricut and the yellow chained border sticker is by Doodlebug. The stamped sentiment is by Stampendous. I really like this card because it’s so colorful and that is because the patterned paper really does all of the work for you.

The keyhole on the front of the card is a heavy embellishment. I felt as though it fit the movie especially it fits the first scene when she falls down the hole and starts talking to the doorknob.

Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday Oxide background Poinsettia Christmas

I made this card for Craft Roulette #206. The parameters were: Project-card with a heart (the word heart is in the sentiment). Colors-vintage (I think it looks vintage). Element-plant (pontisettia). Random- lace in the base (there’s lace on the card base.).

I started by stamping a bunch of panels with the poinsettia in the center and the sprigs in the corners. I colored this one with Copic markers but hated it so I heat embossed another one on watercolor paper and colored it in with watercolors. I dislike this one too. But due to time constraints, I had to go with it.

So what is it that I don’t like about the new flower? There's no definition that the flower has petals. There’s no dimension. When you have different shades of colors added you can look as though one petal is under another.

Anyway, I created the background with distress oxide and spritzed it with water. Then I added pre-adhesive lace to make it look like a present.

Manly Monday Books at a Coffee shop card

This card is for Craft Roulette card #213
Project: Hello card
Colors: Robust-my online resources said browns, dull orange, dull yellow, and grey
Element: Workplace people at work drink lots of coffee
Random: Mixed media -Copic markers, background stamp, and using wallpaper.

I made the background using a background stamp by Stampin Up with Hero Arts ink. The book stamp is by Darice and is colored in with Copic markers. Then I fussy cut the image.
The brown and blue square dies were bought off eBay. The interesting look to them is because there was already a hole in the center of the blue square. So when I lined up the squares there was a funky look to it.
The “Hello” sentiment and the border dies are by Spellbinders. The side border is made from wallpaper samples.
The rust-colored sticker dividing the stamped area and the border is by Creative Memories, I’m using up some oldies but goodies.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Best Fishes in squares card

I made this card for Craft Roulette #225
Parameters
Project: A2
Colors: tea party
Element: house pet
Random: stripes
And I thought the random was the packaging.
No silly. That was last week.
Anyway…this is the tea cup color inspiration

And when you look at the two sided by side it looks weird but when you look at just the picture above it makes more sense.

The first thing is I used this teacup as my color palette. It’s hard to tell but I really did take the colors as my inspiration from the tea cut
The stamps I’m using are by Lawn Fawn I colored them with Copic markers.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!
