Pretty Purple Cheshire Cat Card

This is my card for Craft Roulette #260
The challenge parameters were:
Project-An envelope
Colors-toys
Element-Children's story
Random-List
I made my card look like an envelope with the patterned papers slanted into a V. The patterned paper has the Cheshire Cat in it, which would account for the toys' colors and the children's story element. The list is seen when you open the card to reveal "My favorite things..." Look at the photo below.
The card was for my nephew, and he really liked it.

This second card was for the bonus gallery. It has the look of an envelope, same colors as above, the children's story is in my kid's cabinet, and the list of Happy Birthday stickers.

Craft Roulette #260 color combo. We are doing a side color challenge along with the chosen color parameter because the color parameter can be very loosely interpreted. It's been said that they will allow it as long as you can justify it.

Smile! Camera stamp card

The camera stamp is by Just Rite stamps. I colored it in with Copic markers. Then I created the background using an old stamp set by Stampin Up. The pink ink is by Stampin Up and the green and blue ink pad is by Hero Arts.
I cleaned the smile stamp after using it with the pink ink. It wasn't good enough because when I pushed the stamp down onto the blue and green ink pad, remnants of the pink ink ruined my ink pad. I was so disappointed. But paper always has two sides. I flipped it over and made my background all pretty.
Thanks for looking.

Valentine’s Day cards for assisted living residents

My niece and I made cards for the seniors at the assisted living center my mom was at.

The patterned paper is from a seasonal paper pad by The Paper Studio. The heart is a negative of something, and I just loved the way the words lined up with the shape of the heart. I drew a dashed line around the edges of the card with Copic marker.

The heart and XOXO are die cuts from my Cricut. The Be Mine sentiment is an unknown stamp. The sentiment on the right is a cutout from a cereal box, and the purple sparkly heart die is unknown.

The pattern paper is by Recollections. The pink glitter heart is Making Memories. The border at the bottom consists of heart punches.

I know very little about the cards above. The background is dry embossed. The flower stamp was colored with markers for the multiple colors. The heart die cut was by Quickutz. The sentiment on the card on the right is by Lawn Fawn. The heart is unknown. Sizzix paper.

My niece put this one together. The red paper is dry embossed with hearts that are going horizontally when the pattern is vertical. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, and it is heat-embossed in white by a Spellbinders die cut.
Thanks for looking

On the inside of the card I wrote! “Well”. She didn’t get it. I thought it was funny and it never occurred to me that she wouldn’t get it. Oh well.

Floral Friday Christmas Cricut Slimline card

Slimline cards are a challenge for me. I feel like there’s so much wasted space yet if you fill it up, it’s just too much.

The background patterned paper is by Bo Bunny.  The poinsettia is a Cricut die cut (Image set called Christmas Noel).

I dry embossed one of the layers of the poinsettia with a Cuttlebug embossing folder before adding Stickles to the petals.

The sentiment is by Hero Arts; I heat embossed it in gold and then colored in the frame with a mixture of paint and chalk. The ric rack is from my mother-in-law‘s stash.

Thanks for looking.

The patterned papers are by My Mind’s Eye, Cosmo Cricket, Basic Gray. The sentiment by Hero Arts is stamped onto a Martha Stewart label sticker. The flowers are by Prima and brads probably from Making Memories.

Papers are same as above. The sentiment stamp by Hero Arts is stamped with Versa Fine black ink on a scrap of paper that has powdered chalk on it. It punched out beautifully using an oval punch by Marvy. The sentiment stands out from the white flowers most of which are by Prima. Thanks for looking.

The above photo is the rough draft of the 2nd card. I like what I went with. Thanks for looking.

Christmas Ornaments Card

I fussy cut these ornaments from patterned paper by The Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby. I then added Stickles to their design. I used my sewing machine to quickly sew the lines in to look like they are hanging down. The Hero Arts sentiment stamps were stamped onto cardstock and cut them out to fit the card’s design.

 Thanks for looking.
Here are some other Christmas cards that have sewing on them. Keep in mind that these are OLD cardso
3rd card down (I hand sewed the floss into the holes of the border punch.)

Gingerbread Man Easel card

I used a polka dot background stamp by Hero Arts with pink Umbrella ink. The gingerbread stamp by Stamp N Plus. I stamped it onto a Spellbinders die cut before coloring it in with powdered chalk mixed with paint. I gave the icing some dimension with Liquid Pearls. The border is washi tape and the sentiment was typed up on the computer.

I did not to take into account that there was another design on the other side of the paper, duh!
The circle is punch by Creative Memories. The pink door stopper is a former hair clip.  Thanks for looking.

Pink and Red snowman Christmas card

Hi. For my card today I used, Best Creations patterned papers, three different dies, two coloring mediums, and one sentiment stamp. So the dies are by Gina Marie in red, a Spellbinders die for my image, and an unknown die in black, The Spellbinders paper was inked with distress ink before I removed it from the die. The snowman is by Deep Red Stamps. I black heat embossed it and colored it in with powdered chalk mixed with paint and watercolor pencils by Stampin Up. I was able to smooth out the pencil lines with a water pen. The warm wishes sentiment is a stamp by Hero Arts.

Simon Says Stamp Anything goes challenge
I started doing this challenge more regularly about a month ago. I don't always make the card before the challenge ends. but that's okay because I use challenges as a way to spark my creativity or make me use supplies that I have. Last week's challenge was "not a card". I would have liked to use the challenge to get going on my calendars but Christmas cards took precedents. I will say that one of the recent challenges was to use foil and I finally pulled out the foil that had been in my stash for over a year. I'm not doing the challenges for the $25 prize because if I was I would get it done and linked up before the challenge expired.
I started thinking about how if I won the gift card that I would love to gift it to someone that doesn't have a lot of supplies and/or money to buy supplies. I have plenty of stuff but not everyone does.
So, I've decided that that's my new goal, Do the challenge, blog about it and link up before the challenge expires. Wish me luck and thanks for looking.
