ICONS OF MODERN DESIGN

MoMA’s collection includes examples of “hollow, rolling sculptures,” otherwise known as cars. And among automobiles, the Citroën DS 23 Sedan is widely regarded as one of the most stunning French cars ever produced. The Jaguar E-Type Roadster debuted in the following decade and is now often called the most beautiful car ever made. It was a perfect automobile addition to MoMA's collection, and inspiration for our die-cast 1:1 replica automobile on display.

This Little People Collector set features the impressionist artist Claude Monet. One figure is at work in his studio; the other is a three-dimensional self-portrait inspired by the style of his series of Water Lilies paintings, part of the MoMA collection and a playful expression of art in this youthful form factor.

Color is a key part of UNO design, so we partnered with MoMA to choose vibrant paintings from their collection for this UNO Canvas deck. Works by Henri Matisse, Piet Mondrian, Claude Monet, and Vincent van Gogh adorn the suits, and Sonia Delaunay and Liubov Popova decorate the Wilds.
