# SKEW TRACE

In those hazy moments between dreams and waking life, we discovered a sonic landscape worth exploring. "Skew Trace" emerged from our collective fascination with that peculiar liminal space where memories blur and consciousness wavers.

We spent countless nights in our studio, surrounded by vintage synthesizers and digital workstations, trying to capture that fleeting sensation when dream fragments still cling to your mind before reality fully takes hold. Each track flows into the next like memories struggling to remain intact upon waking.

The album begins with the gentle disorientation of "Border Fades" and carries you through increasingly complex emotional territories. We crafted "Residual Warmth" during a rainstorm that lasted three days, the patter of droplets inspiring those fragmented piano notes that emerge from the warm synth beds.

By the time you reach "Peak Recall," you're experiencing the height of memory reconstruction – that moment when you desperately try to piece together a dissolving dream. One night after a session, Maya (our sound designer) described it perfectly: "It's like trying to hold water in your hands, watching it slowly escape no matter how tightly you cup your fingers."

We've moved beyond our previous explorations of lucid dreaming and deep nocturnal states. "Skew Trace" lives in that bittersweet territory of almost-remembering, where emotions outlast the images that created them. The melancholic beauty in tracks like "Glass Filament" and "Silver Haze" captures that peculiar feeling – something meaningful happened in your dream state, but you can't quite grasp what it was.

For optimal listening, find a quiet space between activities. Not for sleeping, not for full alertness, but for that in-between state where perception shifts. Headphones highly recommended. Let the subtle experimental techniques and ethereal textures guide you through your own memory traces.

This is our most personal work yet – an audio journey through consciousness itself.
