This week is marked by Earth Day activities at our company, raising awareness of the importance of sustainability among our employees. At the company level, we committed to sustainability in our latest Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report for 2023. We have set ambitious yet measurable goals to reduce our environmental impact: ✅ 50% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030 ✅ Growing revenue from EU Taxonomy-eligible business to over 50% by 2030 And we have also defined longer-term ambitions: ✅ Net zero in Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2035 ✅ 20% reduction in absolute Scope 3 emissions by 2030 As we take our ESG agenda seriously, we are already working on the 2024 ESG report. Every action counts, and together we can make a difference. Let's embrace sustainable solutions and continue working toward a better planet for future generations.

Last month, our Embedded Software Engineers visited the embedded world Exhibition&Conference 2025, the global expo and conference in Nuremberg, Germany. "This annual event is a great source of inspiration and an opportunity to grasp the latest trends in embedded systems and software development. It was fascinating to see how technology is moving forward and what possibilities await us in the near future," says Ilja Popov, SW Engineer at ComAp. Marián Šilon, Architect of Control Unit Design, added: "It was great to attend workshops focused on Zephyr and Linux operating systems and to meet with the companies we cooperate with at ComAp." New solutions on the market, discussions with partners, and expert panels are the reasons why attending such conferences and drawing inspiration from them is so valuable.

Controlin has been our distributor for over two decades, and the recently signed extended contract reflects their high-quality support and service to our customers. We partnered with Damen at their headquarters in Gorinchem, the Netherlands, to deliver an advanced DC Power Management System (PMS) for the fast crew supply vessel FCS 2710, developed for the safe and efficient transportation of passengers to an offshore power plant. Commissioned for Purus Marine (formerly HST Marine), the power management system was built for precise control over generator- and battery-based power sources via a centralised DC bus system. Drawing on our extensive knowledge and experience in AC and DC marine applications, we provided a bespoke solution based on Damen’s requirements. To successfully provide a DC Power Management System that could meet the requirements of the next-generation Fast Crew Supplier vessel, we needed to ensure that the new PMS could efficiently manage the Power Take-In / Power Take-Out (PTI/PTO) through converters, seamlessly integrate the Battery Management System (BMS), and provide control and monitoring of the power sources via a centralised DC bus. Exciting times at ARE´s EAIF in Uganda! We had the pleasure of serving as one of the gold sponsors of the Energy Access Investment Forum, organised by Alliance for Rural Electrification. We connected with industry leaders, investors, innovators, and decision-makers – all committed to accelerating sustainable energy solutions and expanding access to clean, reliable energy across emerging economies. The enthusiasm for minigrids and sustainable energy solutions was incredibly high, and it was fantastic to see such a positive response. The topic that resonated with us most was local capacity building, focusing on educating the workforce and engaging communities, helping them to adopt and benefit from rapidly changing technology. Erick Ongera, PMP®, shared valuable insights on developing Uganda and protecting against vandalism during two impactful sessions. Another highlight was showcasing our solutions in the exhibitors' area, where EU Ambassador Jan Sadek expressed genuine interest in our technology produced in the Czech Republic. We discussed how to leverage the European aspect in Uganda, which was truly inspiring. During a site visit with Hon. Dr. Monica Musenero Masanza, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation of Uganda, we also had the chance to witness a new product reveal. This joint project by ennos ag, Innovex, and NETZSCH Group introduces a solar-powered irrigation pump that is expected to have a life-changing impact on local communities and the economy. This year at the Bauma exhibition, we were honoured by one of our esteemed customers, GREEN POWER - Generators. Green Power introduced its innovations for 2025 and celebrated its 25th anniversary by recognising its long-term partners — and ComAp had the privilege of being one of them. "Green Power has been using our controllers for their gen-sets for many years. Now, as early adopters of innovation, we are pleased that they have also started using our control solution for their battery energy storage systems," says Marcello Melchiorri, Sales Director at ComAp Italy. Marcello received a thank-you plaque from Raffaele BRUGNETTINI, CEO at GREEN POWER - Generators. We are happy to introduce our new Service and Solution Partner for Central and Eastern Europe, Motorpoint d.o.o. from Croatia. Motorpoint has been cooperating with us since 2010, primarily serving marine and power generation projects. The company specialises in projects involving MTU engines, focusing on propulsion and power management retrofits for various types of vessels, including ferries, commercial catamarans, and yachts. We look forward to even closer cooperation with Motorpoint, helping us serve not only the Adriatic Sea but also other waters of interest.
