So I'm using some of these glass candle holders from Dollar Tree and this sign from Hobby Lobby. I started by removing the stickers from the bottom of the candle holders and then cleaning each of them. I then took these stickers. I also got from Dollar Tree and I placed one on each of my candle holder. I used 4 total. And I'm just spelling out the word home. After the stickers are placed down, I use a sponge and applied French linen chalk paint by Folkart covering the entire outside of the candle holders and I'm giving them full coverage. After I have all of those completely dry I take my heating tool and heat back up the sticker so it's easier to remove

I grabbed four of these pieces of chunky wood from Dollar Tree, some rub-on transfers, and stir sticks from Amazon. I took the four pieces of chunky wood and put some wood glue on the edge of three of them and placed them back down and put them all together and to keep that together, I just used some painters tape just to keep it set until it dries and I let it dry for about an hour before I worked with it again. After I let that dry, I then took these 12 inch stir sticks that I get from Amazon and I held them up along the edge and just marked off where I needed to cut them and I cut them with fisker shears and then sanded off those edges that I had cut. A
Dollar Tree Highland Cow Planter | Dollar Tree Highland Cow Planter | By Creating Through Chaos | Hey everybody it's Janice with Creating Through Chaos and we're going to start this project off with this piece of wood and crate that I got at Dollar Tree. I'm going to paint them each with the celery green color. And I did the front and the back of this board and along the edges. And this is just one of those thin pieces of wood from the crafter square section. And then the same thing with the crate. I'm going to paint all of the crate including the bottom. And I did a little bit onto the inside of the crate. I didn't go crazy all the way down. Once I had them both fully painted I'm going to set them aside to fully dry. And then I'm going to grab this circle that I got at Walmart. And I'm go

This wooden plaque and dowel cap both from Hobby Lobby. I started by gluing the dowel cap on the center of that square plaque. I then take that plaque and hot glue it to the bottom of one of the boxes from Dollar Tree. The square plaque from Hobby Lobby is about 4 inches. The boxes are five and a half inches. I paint both of those with linen color chalk paint and that's by faux cart and I paint them entirely. Next I'm painting these dowels. I believe these ones I got from Amazon. They're. 12 inches. And I paint them with that same linen color. Once everything's dry I'm taking gorilla grip glue and placing it on the

Today I'm using this placemat and little house from Dollar Tree and some plank wood from Walmart. I measured the together word on my placemat. It was about nine and a half inches. Put two pieces of plank wood together side by side. Marked that nine and a half inches and used my brazer blade to score that and break it and sand it. I then took some wood glue and put it on the end of the piece of plankwood as well as hot glue and put the full piece and that piece I cut together. Next I took home decor wax and brushed it on just one side of each of the pieces of plankwood and blended it in with a baby wipe. I made sure to get these sides of those as well. After

You're also going to need four of these little mini crates and start painting these. Glue one of these sides that has one of the holes, glue it to the back end of one of these pieces and now we're going to go and create a U shape and we're going to go and press this together. Construct the next one, glue everything together, wait for that to dry. After those are connected, put some glue onto the top and now, we're going to go and put these little tiny mini crates that have the slats on the sides and let everything dry and now, we can go and put this into our kitchen and figure out where we're going to put everything and this is what it looks like and this is going to save you some space in your kitchen. So, we're going to start with 12 of these really cute little crates from Dollar Tree. First, going to glue them together. So, we are going to be using some wood stain. We are going to stain this as well. So, we're going to put this into a formation and what we're going to do is we're going to flip it over and we are going to put it on the center of our lazy Susan. So, we're going to go ahead and load this up and here's the finished product. I'm really loving this DIY Dollar Tree craft room organizer. To start this project, we're going to need three of these cute little craft storage bins. I'm going to use a pencil and we're going to line it up, let that bond for a second. So, we're going to secure the other side of the glue and then, we're going to go back with our staple gun to make sure it's reinforced. So, now that that's been reinforced, we're essentially going to do the same thing with another one. We're going to do the same thing for the third one. It's just going to set up a little bit higher. Alright, so now that this has been secured, what we're going to do is we're going to use some stain and here's the finished product. I'm so happy with how it turned out. It works as perfect additional counter space.

1.7M views · 16K reactions | Solar Light Hack | The hottest new reason people are buying solar lights! | By DIY with Hometalk | Today's project, I headed down to my local hardware store and I grabbed one of these solar lights. First thing that I gotta do though is I went ahead and bought a pre-made fence post. This is going to be great. It's already primed but I do need to add some paint. It's best to get some high-quality outdoor paint. I'm going to paint this one white. The next step was to get my house numbers. I wanted to lay those out about the middle of the post. When I put them in, I do want to pre drill. It does come with nails but I don't want to pound on it and damage the number. So, I'm going to go ahead and pre and they'll go in pretty easy. Once I get the first number on, I'm going to go up from there and do my middle number and my last number. Once I get those installed and they're looking good, then I hit it on down to Dollar Tree and I grab one of these stands right here. All I need though on this stand is the bottom part. I need that U shape. Once I put the saw on it a couple of times, it clips right off. Look at that. Back and forth and it'll come right off. Now, back to that solar light. I don't need the bottom portion. I can get rid of that. And then I'm going to drill a hole in the bottom. The reason is I want to drill a hole just big enough for the metal stand to go through. Once I get that all the way through, then I'm going to go ahead and take it and put it on there and it should pop right into place and it's also cool because it can rotate on there and it holds it up pretty nice. Now, it's time to attach it to the post. This is pretty simple. I'm just going to use some electrical clips that go on there. I just need two. You can put three if you want. They screw in really nice. Once I got that, it rotates up and it's ready for the light. I noticed that the stand is going to go too far into the pot that I bought. So, what I want to do is nail this little fence picket on just to give it a little bit of an extra oomph on the bottom. The next step is to add some concrete. As you can see, I always put water in the bottom so it doesn't stick and then I put the concrete in and then put some more water on top. You can hand mix it if you want but I went ahead and use the paddle, put it on my drill, and kept mixing. Again, just add a little bit of water as need, don't put too much water in and you want to get to a consistency where the post can go inside the pot. Now, I'm going to slip it on down, push it all the way to the bottom and that's okay if it doesn't cover everything because we have a solution in the end but we need to hold this up while the concrete is drying overnight. I just took two boards, put em right across the top with some clamps. Make sure it's straight and level and it holds up. The next day out. After the concrete dries, I can take those off and it's really strong. Look this. It holds pretty nice and it's not going to go anywhere and it's got a good strong base. I'm going to put some drain holes in the bottom. Go ahead and put it where I want next to my house and then I'm going to add some potting soil. Good quality potting soil. Don't skimp on that because when we plant, we want to make sure it's good and make sure we don't have any unwanted guests hanging around. I'm going to go ahead and plant some flowers in there. Make it look really nice. Once again, all these planted. I want to make sure that I add some water because their starters get a good root system going and then it's time to put on that solar light again we're going to take that stand put it on there and look at this this thing looks absolutely amazing I love it with the house numbers on there and everything and when night comes watch this it's absolutely going to glow and give a nice special effect I love it charges during the day and it glows up at night I hope this inspired you to go ahead and build your own solar powered house planter numbers I thought it turned out great and hey thank you for watching Hometalk and we'll at you next time.
