Pickguard for an SG made from melted Axe and detergent bottles. Used a friend’s planer and an X-Carve to finish it.
HDPE coin idea progression. Melted grocery bags. The first is pushed into a bottle cap. The next two were created using a simple cylinder press with laser cut molds to add the details.
Failed HDPE bowl made from milk jugs melted in a toaster oven (I was banned from the family oven and had to get my own toaster).
My original plan was to use melt HDPE into tiles to use as a bar top. Still working on it. This is made from melting Downy bottles, cat litter containers, milk jugs, and there may be a Purex bottle in there too.
Name plate being carved from HDPE plastic on an X-Carve.
I made this name plate as a gift (started as a joke - but turned out really cool). I melted Downy bottles, cat litter containers and milk jugs (all HDPE plastic) into a sheet. I cut them out on an X-Carve (tabletop CNC router). I made the base out of a price of pallet wood.
Side shot of the cool pattern the sheets of HDPE made in a trophy I created.
I made this trophy for the winner of our office Christmas ornament competition. I made sheets from Detergent bottles (Tide, Downy, and Arm & Hammer) cat litter containers and milk jugs. Then I cut them on an X-Carve (tabletop CNC router). It turned out pretty cool.
