Reliquary Crown with thorns from the crown of Christ 1219AD. Æ 20,7 cm. H. 3.3 cm & 7.5 cm Treasury of Namur Cathedral, formerly treasury of St. Aubin, Inv. n° 4 The Crown consists of eight pieces set with precious stones, connected by hinges and set with fleurs-de-lys. The thorns are in little containers. This crown is West-European in style and was probably made in the region of the Meuse.
