A modern interpretation of Olle Pira’s 1954 elegant and adaptable structure, Pira Floor Shelving (2022) has been reimagined by architect Anna von Schewen and industrial designer Björn Dahlström using today’s technology and materials. Designed as a sculptural storage system that can also serve as a room divider for home or office, the floor-to-ceiling mounted system features artfully detailed, incredibly durable aluminum and steel frames paired with warm wood cabinets. Its modular, interlocking series of joints are extendable to reach most ceilings and, once assembled, appears to be built as one.
