G 15 ATTIC POTTERY

Corinthians developed initially painting of BLACK - FIGURE VASE in so - called ORIENTALIZING STYLE in ca 725 BC. They exported their vases all over Greece and their technique arrived in Athens where GEOMETRIC Dipylon Vase style was painted in the midd 8th ct BC. PROTO - ATTIC vase from ca 625 BC were added with elongated human figures depicted by lines, not siluettes yet. Athenian painters later came with BLACK - FIGURE TECHNIQUE and their pottery were famous and favoured until they invented the RED - FIGURE VASE PAINTING.
