We're heading into the second half of our current Dream Factory challenge, and I wanted to give you a quick reminder on our film and theme

 

WILD

This month we want you to be inspired by the movie poster (see below)

...and I really, really was!!!

After more than 15 years, I finally tried my hand at watercolor painting again...

...I ventured to paint the entire poster!

 For a first attempt after such a long time without practice, I'm quite satisfied. The only thing I didn't dare to do was to include the girl in the watercolor painting right away—I painted her separately, cut her out, and glued her on.

I stamped a quote from John Muir that I found very fitting onto black cardboard using an alphabet rotary stamp, embossed it, cut it into strips, and glued it on.

Katzelkraft - Happy Birthday

Hi everyone!

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project.

Like I said, I'm in a flowery mood....

...and again with watercolors 

Same technique as for this card. 

However, in this case I made the background using one of the tile stamps. 

To do this, I inked the stamp lightly with a blue aqua marker, 

sprayed it with water and then pressed it lightly onto the damp watercolor paper. 

After drying, I stamped the flowers and colored them with aqua markers. - I don't use the markers directly but scribble the color onto an acrylic block and then apply it with a water brush pen.

Doodled around the flowers and stems, as I did on last week's card. (see the link above)

I tore the image to the desired size and backed it with an embossed panel. 

Added a small birthday sentiment from Stampin'Up. That's it!

Katzelkraft - Tulips

Hi everyone!

I'm currently in a flowery mood :))

Well, there are lots of flowers on the beautiful stamp set "Ginko and Co" from Katzelkraft! Let's get started! 

I haven't painted in watercolors for years and more and more I feel the urge to pick up my brushes and paint with watercolors again. - I kept my first attempt very simple....

First I stamped the bottle, leaving out the bottleneck to create a vase.

Using masks, I stamped the tulips one by one on watercolor paper to create a bouquet.

I used aqua markers for watercoloring. I'm not quite familiar with them yet, but I think the result looks pretty good. 

First I colored the tulips and the vase. When this was dry, I scribbled on the window. I then colored the wall, the window panes and the area under and next to the vase.

Finally, I made a few doodles around the vase and the tulips to add dynamism to the scene. Hope you like it.

I didn't want to add a sentiment this time.

Hello everyone!

Today I invite you to play along with our new Dream Factory challenge. 

Our movie for this month is:

The Broken Circle

(also known as Alabama Monroe) is a Belgian drama film. 

A film that touches your heart and where there is no happy ending! 

This time we'll just take inspiration from the title and the movie poster. (see below)

Keywords: Circle(s), tatoos ...

I chose a butterfly and a circle for my card. 

First I stamped the butterfly, masked it and stamped the flowers and leaves. I kept the butterfly masked, stamped the "Background Halftones Rond" from Katzelkraft with Versamark and embossed it with gold embossing powder. 

I colored with watercolors and traced some lines of the butterfly with a gold marker after it dried. Then masked the butterfly again and splattered the panel with black ink - a favorit addiction at the moment!

I cut the panel to size and made faux stitches along the edges - added Wink of Stella to the borders of a slightly bigger blue cardstock and glued then the panel on. The sentiment is white embossed and attached with adhesive foam pads.

Hello everyone!
Today I have the head full of ideas and so I come with one more card!

The inspiration for this card came to me when I saw the superb card of Stephanie Lanzalotto on Muse Christmas Visions.

I also wanted to do something with a globe - so I searched and found ...a globe, a little cradle, and the very little sentiment "Peace on Earth"!

I die cut the Big Circle Burst (Memory Box) into a white cardstock that was slightly smaller than the base card.

I stamped the little Jesus on the disk (obtained by the previous cut) and then the globe, having first masked the part with the cradle. I used watercolors for the globe and felt-tip pens to color the cradle.

To give a little more shine, I stuck a piece of silver paper between the base card and the part with the circle. I hung the "christmas ball" with a cap and a piece of silver twine to the panel and glued it to the card. To finish I added the sentiment "Peace on Earth".

It's been a while since I've used the big circle and ... Bang! - Now I have made two cards with it! (See the post just before)!

 Hier ist mein Aquarell für euch ....

Voici mon aquarelle pour vous ....

Gemalt und gerahmt habe ich dieses Aquarell 1997 und es "ruhige Strasse" genannt. 

Damals waren wir zwei Jahre in Afrika und ich hatte noch viel Zeit für solche Sachen .....

Peint et encadré en 1997, j'ai baptisé cette aquarelle "rue tranquille". 

À l'époque, nous étions deux ans en Afrique et j'ai encore eu beaucoup de temps pour ces choses .....

Auf dieser Ansicht könnt ihr besser erkennen, dass ich das Aquarell in einer 3D Perspektive gerahmt habe.

der Monat Mai ist schon fast halb abgelaufen und 

......es ist höchste Zeit für den kreativen Monat bei Ingrid!

le mois de mai est presque à moitié expiré et 

.....il est grand temps pour le mois créatif avec Ingrid!

Meine Collage für den Monat April ist fertig! 

......nicht immer leicht, alles unterzubringen!  

...aber es macht jedes mal viel Spass es zu tun und zu sehen, was man so alles im vergangenen Monat gemacht hat 

......oft, sind wir selber überrascht!!

Probiert es doch auch einmal aus...... das ist ganz einfach, ....hier geht's lang!!

Houses on one layer

war das Thema bei Less is More und auch hier ist die Woche schon fast zu Ende! Ich mußte mir also unbedingt etwas einfallen lassen....

c'était le thème chez Less is More et ici aussi, la semaine est presque terminée! Il me fallait donc trouver quelque chose...

Hier habe ich mit ein paar Bleistiftstrichen diese Winterlandschaft mit "Haus" aufgezeichnet und dann aquarelliert! Zum Schluß den Stempel gesetzt, fertig!

Ici, j'ai dessiné en quelques coups de crayon ce paysage d'hiver avec "maison" et puis je l'ai colorié à l'aquarelle! Pour finir, j'ai tamponné le texte, terminé!

 Ich muß schon noch ein bischen üben, bevor ich mich an etwas größeres wage...

J'ai encore besoin de l'entrainement, avant de me lancer pour quelque chose de plus grand...
