Katzelkraft - ataraxia

Hi everyone, 

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft creation. I've been playing with Katzelkraft's new stamp set "Cats on Books", created by Ukrainian designer Liubka.

I tried to make an art journal page, but I think I got a little off track! Eventually it turned into a scene with cats - but.... I used paper scraps! Paper scraps that came from a failed background. I tore off several strips, laid them out loosely, and taped them together to form a branch. 

I stamped the cats, colored them, cut them out and placed them on the branch and page. This first draft was very close to my idea! The background is sponged with Mermaid Lagoon, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness (Distress Oxide), using a homemade stencil to add some clouds.

In the bottom section, I stamped the plants and flowers from the cat set and colored them with alcohol markers. I also used stamps from two other new sets (see below). Stamped the fence-like pattern in front of the flowers and plants. There was also the one with the spots that I used for the path at the very bottom, but at the last moment some super washi tape got in the way, so you can't see much of it now. On the right edge I stuck a print that looks like a wall. Finally, I split the meaning of the term atataxia into individual words and assigned each cat a happy state.

Katzelkraft - Listen to nature

Hi everyone!

Actually, my Katzelkraft day is tomorrow, but since the reminder for the Dream Factory challenge "A Bug's Life" is also due, I'm posting exceptionally today!  

My second art-journal page... 

...who would have thought I would ever start something like this! 

But that's me - I love challenges and the one from Isa has inspired me a lot!

I printed the background directly into the art journal using Gel Press, acrylic paint and stencils, leaving the previous and following pages blank. I tore off a few bits along the edges and lightened the center with white gesso. Stamped the crawling little critters from the "Les Nounounes" set by Katzelkraft once on the art journal pages and then again on Bristol paper. Colored and fussy cut them, and then pasted them onto the ones in the AJ. 

I stamped a sentiment on one the left of the journal, cut small openings in the other side, and then stamped the words underneath. Three of the little creepy crawlies I added little frames to.

Lastly, I sponged the edges of the two blank pages with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot and then pasted them to the printed pages.

Circles - Art Journal Page

Hi everyone!

Today I did something that is completely new for me...

.... here is my very first Art Journal page!

I'm joining in on Tag along with Isa with this, 

because it's actually thanks to her that I tried my hand at it. - Her challenge was too tempting! 😀

The prompt are: 

Yellow - Circles - large Letters or Numbers.

Since I don't have a real art journal yet, I used an A5 sheet of watercolor paper and folded it in half. 

The background is sponged with Wild Honey (Distress Oxide). 

Letter, number and dot stamps are from Katzelkraft, the circles are very old stamps from Inkadinkado. 

I stamped with Onyx Black (Versafine) and Wild Honey (Distress Oxide). The quote is handwritten.
