Super Cool

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:

Spotlight
This month we want to

Highlight or put something in focus

Wow, it's so hot in here that we could devour several ice creams at once...

First, I stamped the ice cream cones several times on the card. Then I stamped the ice creams in different colors (flavors). Next, I watercolored and splattered the background with Salty Ocean (Distress Oxide).
I then stamped the sentiment, cut it out, and adhered it. Used foam tape for the words "Super" and "Cool," to make them stand out from the card.
Finally, I jazzed up the colors of the ice cream with alcohol ink markers and Posca pens.

Sugar and Spice...

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
The theme of this week is

Christmas Food

The background is from the stash - made with the negative impression of a stencil and Barn Door (Distress Ink). I just stamped a few stars with gray ink and applied Wink of Stella to them.
The Santa (Stampin'Up) I colored with alcohol inks and cut  it out. I foam taped it to a piece of design paper on which I had previously applied a few brush strokes of white gesso to brighten the area behind Santa. Backed this with blue cardstock.
Embossed the sentiment on black cardstock, cut it to size and glued it on.

Have Fun!

DotMCC - Challenge #18 - Reminder

Hello everyone!
It's getting hotter every day, but we have a very cool topic at the Day of the Month Card Club this month.

National Watermelon Day

...don't they look deliciously refreshing?

First I wrote the sentiment on a card sized piece of Bristol. It comes from a pad with many different other sentiments and quotes and is printed in silver on parchment paper. I didn't like that, so I transferred it to the Bristol using tracing paper and colored it black. - I already used this techique for this card and this card!
Next I drew three different watermelons and colored them with alcohol markers, traced the pips with Pearl Pen and "nibbled" one of the melons.
Before gluing the watermelons I stamped a few splashes of Melon Mambo (stamp & ink SU), added a small black stripe at the bottom and then pasted the panel to a card base. Voilà!

Have fun! I look forward to your delicious watermelons! 🍉🍉

National Watermelon Day - DotMCC Challenge #18

Hello everyone!
Time for a new challenge at Day of the Month Card Club! This month we are celebrating:

National Watermelon Day
celebrated on August 3

Did you know that watermelon is 92% water? No wonder it’s so refreshing!
People have been digging into this tasty, juicy fruit for millennia and it all started in Ancient Egypt.
It’s said that watermelon cultivation began in the Nile Valley as early as the second millennium B.C.
Watermelon seeds were even found in Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s tomb and in the Dead Sea region at the ancient settlements of Bab edh-Dhra and Tel Arad! (Source: Wikipedia)

Now to my card, which is very simple.
I started by stamping melon slices around the card and colored some of them with crayons. Mounted this panel on a slightly larger card base and added the vellum with an already printed sentiment.
For more interest I put some enamel dots here and there!

Happy Melon Day - all summer long!!!

National Ice Cream Day - DotMCC Challenge #17

Hello everyone!
It is time for a new challenge at Day of the Month Card Club
This month we have a very tasty topic...

National Ice Cream Day

Ice cream is a nutritious and healthy food! - My favourite is Italian ice cream in a crispy cone! 😋😋
I love chocolate, vanilla, mint, strawberry and so many others - and what is your favourite flavour?

Did you know that?
Every second 412 litres of ice cream are produced and consumed worldwide!!
That's 13 billion litres of ice cream enjoyed worldwide every year!!

I only have a few tiny stamps that fit this theme, so I decided to make this huge hand drawn sundae.
I colored it with alcohol markers and then fussy cut it. The background is made with a stencil and distress oxides.
The sentiment comes from a set with quotes and sayings printed on parchment paper. The font of this one was multicolored and a bit too light, so I copied the text by hand onto the card.
To give it a nice accent, I added three sequins, and Wink of Stella to the icing. - Looks yummy, doesn't it?

Thanks

Hello everyone!
Something fruity today...

For a long time these berries have been waiting to decorate a card...

...today they have found grace in my eyes! LOL
I colored the berries with alcohol markers and as a final touch I put a small strip of Washi tape at the bottom. Sentiment and berries are from Craft Sensations.

With this card I want to say a big thank you to all my followers! - It's good to have you here! ♥

A juicy thing!

Hello everyone!
I never dreamed that one day I would be elected Queen of the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! - But it happened and I am so proud of it because English is not my native language and I think it is very difficult to be snarky in another language! I have been living in France for almost forty years now and I am still not able to speak in this way! - Or maybe because it is not my style!

Whatever, this week I am guest designer at the Sisterhood and I tried not to be too snarky! Ha-ha-ha

The theme of the challenge is:  Yellow

I squeezed out a lot of lemons and guess what I got! --- Orange juice! ...isn't that great!!

To create the background, I scribbled with yellow and green Distress Oxide ink pads on an acrylic plate and then sprayed water on it. To make the colours flow well, I also sprayed water on the paper before I pressed the colored plate on it. After the paper was dry, I stamped lemon slices with two different stamps and the same colors - I really love how it turned out!
To do justice to the sentiment cut into single words, I filled a glass with fizzy orange juice (colored with felt-tip pens), cut it out and then glued it to the card along with a small black strip. I hope you like it!

Sweet Moments

Hello everyone!
First of all, I'd like to welcome all the new followers who have recently joined my blog - and of course also those who have been around for a while! -- Thank you for being here! <3

Well, we're already halfway through the month, and that means a new challenge at the Dream Factory! - This month's movie is...

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Charlie und die Schokoladenfabrik
Charlie et la Chocolaterie

Key words:  Sweets, fantasy, colorful, snow, England

There is not a lot of chocolate on my card except the chocolate cupcake,
but it is very colorful and appetizing! 😋
The cupcakes are fussy cut and watercolored with felt-tip pens.
I added some faux stitches with a quilting wheel along the edges.

Have much fun with this challenge
....but do not salivate too much otherwise there will be spots!  😁

Stamps: Action
