Katzelkraft - The best is yet to come

Hi everyone!
I'm back with another Katzelkraft card.

Confetti, firecrackers, glitter, champagne...
hope you have everything ready for this New Year's Eve!

I used some older Katzelkraft stamps for this very simple New Year's card:
I heat embossed the beautiful Background halftones stars in gold. The small stars are actually snowflakes
but they look good as stars too, don't they! - Tried to symbolize fireworks with them.
I then stamped the quote and the tiny happy new year. I cut the panel slightly smaller than the blank card, glued it on and drew a fine gold border around the panel.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft creation! ;)

Katzelkraft - Happy New Year

Hi everyone!

Happy New Year 2024.
Wishing you a year full of sparkling highlights, filled with joy, health and success.
May every day be a step towards your biggest dreams!

My first Katzelkraft post of the new year :))

I stamped the fireworks in the colors Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio on a sheet of Bristol paper. "Happy" and "Year" are die-cut from glitter card and glued onto torn vellum. The word "New" is stamped on white paper, cut out and glued on as well.
I colored the crocodile and the party hat with alcohol ink markers, cut them out and glued them on.
Tiny glitter cardboard confetti pops out of the hat.

Besinnliches Weihnachtsfest

Hi everyone,
I'm back with another Katzelkraft card. Today in an elegant style.

I embossed a sheet of light blue cardstock and splattered it with black ink.
I heat embossed the tiles in gold and cut them out, leaving a narrow black border all around.
I adhered the tiles to the blue sheet and stamped the sentiment (Stampin'Up).
I covered a blank card with gold holographic foil.
I cut the blue sheet a little smaller than the card blank and glued it on.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Katzelkraft - Chinese New Year

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project. Today, with a Chinese touch.

Chinese astrology, also called "Shengxiao" is divided into cycles of twelve years. Each year is represented by an animal and an element. This year's animal is the water rabbit, an animal that is supposed to bring peace and harmony.
Let's hope so!

I sponged the left part with Wild Honey, stenciled lanterns with Barn Door and stamped some more lanterns in black.
The Trinity 福 - Fú - Luck, 禄 - Lù - Prosperity, 寿 - Shòu - Longevity, I wrote by hand.

I stamped, watercolored and fussy cut the fun rabbit from the Dainius collection and added it.
Scribbled some shadows under the rabbit and stamped/embossed a tiny Happy new year from SU.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Katzelkraft - Wheelwork

Hi everyone!
I am back with a new Katzelkraft creation - Today with a touch of steampunk.

Time never stops running!
That gave me the idea to create a New Year's card with gears. Hope you like it!

For the background I chose a gel print from my stash. I liked the pattern and the turquoise blue.
I arranged the gears so that they more or less interlock. To do this, I had to do a little masking in some places to make them fit together! I embossed all the gears with clear embossing powder, which made the black stand out better.
Next, I die cut gears from silver cardstock, colored them with alcohol ink markers and added them. The hole parts of the gears I glued to the centers of the stamped gears.
Lastly, I stamped and embossed the sentiment, colored it with Distress inks, cut it into individual words and added them. I used a black fineliner to draw two lines along each of the labels.
2023 I colored with a silver glitter gel pen. The 2 that falls, I colored gray and aged it a bit. That's it!

Happy, prosperous and healthy New Year to you all!

See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Katzelkraft - Ganz viel Schwein...

Hi everyone!
I am back with a new Katzelkraft inspiration.
Needed one last new year card and used the pig from "La ferme des animaux".

Next to the chimney sweeps, the toadstool, the four-leaf clover and the horseshoe, as well as ladybugs and frogs,
the pig is the most popular symbol of luck in Germany and Europe.

I sponged some green at the bottom and some blue in the background.
Stamped the pig, the lucky clover and the hearts.
The feet of the pig I have omitted by masking and then redrawn by hand.
Stamped two lucky clover leaves, cut them out and pasted one under the pig and one on his hand.
Colored anything with alcohol markers. Stamped the sentiment, cut it into little labels and pasted them on as well.

The sentiment says: For you! So that you have a lot of pig this year!!!

So, I sent the person a lot of luck!

Hope you like this! - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Maybe you are interested in...
- A pig had a high value in the Middle Ages. It meant food, offspring and thus prosperity.
It then became a lucky pig and there is a custom of passing around a piglet in a basket on New Year's Day.

- The four-leaf clover is a world symbol and is supposed to connect the four cardinal points with the four elements fire, water, air and earth.
On the other hand, the first leaf stands for fame, the second for wealth, the third for a faithful lover and the fourth for the best health.

Katzelkraft - Happy New Year

Hi everyone!
It's Katzelkraft day and I am back with a new inspiration :)
But first of all, Happy New Year to all of you! Hopefully it will be better than the past two ....

Watson wishes us a Happy New Year, with lucky clover and ladybugs!

To create the background, I smooshed green Distress Oxide on the bottom area. Stamped shamrocks on the entire surface - using less and less ink towards the top. Splattered the whole thing with pink and black ink.
Watson, his top hat, four shamrocks and the two ladybugs are colored with alcohol markers, cut out and glued on. Stamped the sentiment and added faux stitches around the edges. Pasted the panel onto larger black paper and then onto the blank card. Happy New Year is handwritten.

Hope you like it! - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)
